Hive Power Up Month - Quick feedback

(Edited)

The new Hive Power Up Month has now been running for 3 days. Let's see how things have been going for so far.

For those who missed it, you can read the announcement here.

Substantial start and slow decline

The Power Up Month (PUM) started at the same time as the Power Up Day (PUD). It is therefore normal that the first day was also a success of crowds, PUD rules making all participants equally eligible for the PUM.

However, since then there are fewer and fewer users who are participating in the challenge to get the new PUM badge. Let's see this with a small graph:

As you can see, on the first day of the month, 588 users matched the rules thanks to the power-up performed for the Hive PUD. Among them, 149 users chose not to do a power-up but rather to publish a post with the 100% Hive Power payment option.

The next day, the number of power-ups dropped drastically to 157 while the number of 100% posts dropped too to 83.

As of writing, those numbers are still declining slowly.

Hard to stay committed

Our conclusion for the moment is that it seems difficult to stay committed to this challenge. One should note that the tokenomics conditions at the moment are not quite favorable to powering up HIVE.

Either way, there are still over 27 days left and that could change. The future will tell.

What seems certain is that those who will succeed in obtaining this badge may not be numerous, which will only make this one more deserving.

Good luck to everyone who is still in the race!

If Hive goes back to the 30-40 cents area, there will be a lot of power ups from my side :)

It is going up too fast, I can’t buy to power up. I need to stick to mu strategy to buy dips but there hasn’t been any dips to buy

You can still use option1: post with 100% HP payout 😉

Wow! 😃 that's quite a tall order to meet, although I'm still struggling with the 30 days 😃

but maybe the factors are the following

1.- Many depend on the rewards that the post generates for their daily life.
2.- They are busy with personal commitments and work agendas.
3.- Maybe they don't fully understand the HP & badge relationship.
4.- That they can't make power down in the month if they participate.

I don't want to name inconsistency and lack of commitment because my colleagues value being in hive....

I do not know exactly all the objectives set but perhaps they could take into account in the next month a minimum of post example: if at this time are 30 monthly post, how about if there is a minimum weekly example of 3 post 100% hive power, maybe more people are included .... And little by little you can add more things to the challenge...

For the moment I'm still in the challenge 😍 I would like my badge...

greetings and hugs 🤗🌼

Thank you for your comment @malomi.

1.- Many depend on the rewards that the post generates for their daily life.

We know that. That's why we added the alternate option of powering-up 1 HIVE instead of using the 100% HP on posts.

2.- They are busy with personal commitments and work agendas.

So this challenge might not be for them. We want to reward Hive's commitment.

3.- Maybe they don't fully understand the HP & badge relationship.

This is a good opportunity to learn

4.- That they can't make power down in the month if they participate.

It would be too easy to powerdow then powerup back to earn the badge. Once again, we want to reward people with their "skin in the game".

... take into account in the next month a minimum ... add more things to the challenge

We already provided people with the opportunity of making only a few "100% posts", or even none.
We do not want to set the bar higher (adding rules) so that the challenge remains fun, easy to understand, and accessible to as many people as possible.

Good luck for the next few days.
Un abrazo 🤗

Plus the internet connection. Not all of the hivenians has a good connection. Some even buys load to register a data pack. Mind you in the Ph, 5gb data is P50 valid for 3 days only. P99 is 9gb i think valid for 7days. And because of the number of the users, hte connection would be slow. I have experienced to wait for midnight until dawn just to upload photos to post

Interesting to read this? 😃 What country are you from? Lately I've been hearing about what life is like as a content creator in other countries and I enjoy learning about other cultures and points of view....🤗
Have a nice week 💚

Ugh! Pretty sure today is the day (still the 7th here, but 12:56am UTC on the 8th) I missed power up (as well as my phone alarm). However I still plan to do my 1.111 Hive power up every day this month - I think it's a wicked cool habit to get into! 😎

Thanks, @hivebuzz - I'm wicked, totally, completely, and stupendously a bit bummed, but I'm hopeful that if you decide to do Hive Power Up Month again some time, I'll be very practiced at powering up daily. So thanks so much for getting me in the daily habit! 😁
