I'll just stick to Firefox. Opera is just another fork of Chrome (Chromium) but with more proprietary code sprinkled in and even less optimized.
Thing about saving up RAM is that no RAM is wasted RAM, if you're limiting websites, you're just making your experience worse. Modern operating systems are great at memory management, and quite frankly, even with just 8GBs, it's hard to run out when web browsing.
