Formateando una PC del 2009 / Formatting a 2009 PC
¡Hola! Hoy estuve algo ocupado con un trabajo que quise compartir por acá, se trata de un formateo y mantenimiento simple a un computador bastante viejo, en el título coloqué 2009 porque fue la fecha más antigua que encontré entre los registro, pero a juzgar por el modelo de la placa es posible que sea incluso más vieja.
Esta máquina tenía el mítico Windows XP aunque era una versión modificada, también encontré programas personalizados, aparentemente era de una pequeña empresa antes de cambiar de dueño, el cliente me dijo que el dueño principal murió y que no hacía falta que respaldara nada pero me picó la curiosidad de volver un poco en el tiempo. Les mostraré lo que considero más resaltante y que no tiene que ver con la identidad de alguno de los dueños o sus datos personales... Por cuestiones de legalidad

Hello! Today I was a little busy with a job that I wanted to share here, it is a simple formatting and maintenance to a fairly old computer, in the title I put 2009 because it was the oldest date I found among the records, but judging by the model of the board it is possible that it is even older.
This machine had the mythical Windows XP although it was a modified version, I also found custom programs, apparently it belonged to a small company before changing ownership, the client told me that the main owner died and that I didn't need to back anything up but I was curious to go back in time a little. I will show you what I consider the most outstanding and that does not have to do with the identity of any of the owners or their personal data... For legality and respect.
Volviendo al hardware, dentro tenía dañado el ventilador/extractor de la tapa externa, por lo que tuve que cambiar el cableado usando el de una fuente dañada que tenía guardada y algo de teipe para evitar accidentes. También tuve que cortar para el segundo disco duro que tenía.
Back to the hardware, inside I had a damaged fan/extractor on the external cover, so I had to change the wiring using the one from a damaged power supply I had in storage and some teipe to avoid accidents. I also had to cut for the second hard drive I had.
Registrando las antiguas descargas descubrí que la PC fue usada tiempo después por alguién más que no fue ninguno de los dos dueños, quizás algún sobrino o hijo, pues había capítulos de Full Metal Alquemist Brotherhood, Tokio Goul y otro anime que no reconocí, también un par de juegos "El destino de Yugi" y "Pokemon Alfa Safiro".
También encontré al mítico "Windows Messenger", todo esto luego de actualizar Windows XP a Windows 7, que si bien la actualización sigue estando descontinuada, resulta mejor opción que ir a un sistema actual pues la PC solo tiene un procesador Dual Core y 1.5Gb de memoria RAM. Dicha actualización involucró varios problemas por causa de la BIOS, por lo que no pude hacer el formateo antes de ingresar el nuevo sistema, así que no me compliqué y salí del molde que ya tenía para optar por un formateo simple al terminar.
Recording the old downloads I discovered that the PC was used some time later by someone else who was not either of the two owners, maybe a nephew or son, because there were chapters of Full Metal Alquemist Brotherhood, Tokyo Goul and another anime that I did not recognize, also a couple of games "Yugi's Destiny" and "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire".
I also found the mythical "Windows Messenger", all this after upgrading Windows XP to Windows 7, which although the upgrade is still discontinued, it is a better option than going to a current system because the PC only has a Dual Core processor and 1.5Gb of RAM. This upgrade involved several problems because of the BIOS, so I could not do the formatting before entering the new system, so I did not complicate myself and went out of the mold I already had to opt for a simple formatting at the end.
Por curiosidad abrí los juegos a ver si funcionaban y para mi sorpresa así fue. En la búsqueda también me encontré con Undertale y con Angry Birds aunque con este último no tuve tanta suerte, quizás podría resolverlo buscando los programas faltantes pero no es algo esencial y la verdad no me apetece por ahora.
Cuando estaba probando que estuviera todo correcto en el arranque me percaté de que siempre me pedía F1 para que el inicio se llevara a cabo correctamente, por lo que tuve que modificar algunas funciones en la BIOS, accediendo con la tecla "Supr" o suprimir, luego seleccioné "Standard CMOS features">"Drive A">Cambiar a "none">F10 para guardar>"Y">Reiniciar. Esto luego de probar varios métodos, investigar y encontrar este FORO CCM.
Todo esto lo hice después de haber instalado todos los programas básicos esenciales para el uso que quieren darle a esta máquina.
Para finalizar limpié, coloqué unos tornillos faltantes y configuré algunos detalles del tiempo de suspensión e hibernado.
Out of curiosity I opened the games to see if they worked and to my surprise they did. In the search I also found Undertale and Angry Birds although with the latter I was not so lucky, maybe I could solve it by looking for the missing programs but it is not essential and the truth is that I don't feel like it for now.
When I was testing that everything was correct at startup I noticed that it always asked me for F1 for the boot to take place correctly, so I had to modify some functions in the BIOS, accessing with the "Del" or delete key, then I selected "Standard CMOS features">"Drive A">Change to "none">F10 to save>"Y">Reboot. This after trying several methods, researching and finding this CCM FORUM.
I did all this after installing all the basic programs essential for the use you want to give to this machine.
To finish I cleaned up, put in some missing screws and configured some details of the sleep and hibernate time.

The screenshots were taken with the "Snipping" tool that is default in the Windows 7 system, also with the "Print Screen" button and Paint, in the cases in which they were full screen applications.
The machine that was shown has 1.5Gb of Ram, Intel Pentium Dual E2180, 2Ghz processor, the photos were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S7652 Duos. The cover and caption were made with Canva.
