Are we using the tools... or are the tools using us?
Welcome to this post where I will ramble about our relationship with technology...
Is it spiritual to use a computer? Is it spiritual not to use one?
The real question is: are you conscious and aware of what you're doing when you decide whether to engage or deflect modern technology, particularly social media. Because it's up to each person to observe if their spirit is present, so anything can be spiritual and non-spiritual.
It's not the same thing to watch one video after another to kill some time and ignore your inner anxieties, than to watch one video with open mind, heart, and ears, wanting to learn and connect with another part of existence.
Just the same, it's not the same creating content for monetary rewards, than creating the content that your soul wishes to share with the world and receiving economic support in exchange.
Ok, so there are apparently more conscious approaches to technology. Does that mean that scrolling down social media is a non-spiritual attitude? Once again, it's about how conscious you are on what you're consuming.
Are you paying true attention? Are you filtering the information you receive? Are you opening up to the different truths exposed before you? Are you aware of your breath while you do this?
It also might depend a lot on who you follow. I like to follow a lot of spiritually oriented accounts and when I get lost scrolling they always remind me to go back inside, to remember who I am. And that becomes a moment of spiritual rebirth. I can say: "oh right, I am able to breathe and go home right here, right now. I forgot but now I remember, and I'm grateful for that".
Because that's what I think spirituality really is. It's the constant search and remembering of who you really are. And that is actually quite limitless. We're an expression of divinity and therefore we are infinitely powerful. And I agree with the idea that with great power comes great responsibility. So we might as well be infinitely responsible.
As long as you're in the exercise of understanding these ideas and coming to your own conclusions about what it means, and how you want to incarnate it, you're walking the steps of your spiritual journey, and I think that technologies such as the Internet can broaden vastly your perception of this.
Everything has it's light and it's shadow. I don't want to glorify the modern expressions of technology. The ancients were able to be very conscious and aware people without any of this. It's not fundamental, we could do just as fine without it. But it's part of the present, and we can decide to use it wisely too.
If I'm creating content, I want to be paying close attention to what I'm pouring into the web. Having the chance to read oneself again and taking a closer look at what is coming from the mind, which energies it's responding to.
Also, what we put out into the web will tend to manifest in someway. Be aware of that. Be careful with it. Be loving, protective, and try to do it from the widest perspective possible.
So, this is just the outer layer of things. If we start to go deeper we jump down the rabbit hole. Because the Internet is actually a manifestation of the collective mind. And at this point we have merged, we have become One with it.
Just think about touch screens. They respond to your electric energy. That energy has information from you, so don't be surprised when you're talking about something and a few minutes later you get a related advertisement. Yeah, we're also giving away a lot of information with our online interactions, but sometimes there are things the Internet knows that you haven't given away, and that's where things get weird.
We'll jump into the energetic influence of everything we do in another post. For now, breathe and stay aware. My conclusion is that using technology and social media are actually highly spiritual activities that allow us to dive into the depths of our consciousness as never before, becoming aware of the micro and macro cosmos, as well as how we are influenced by them. The only thing that changes is how much attention we put into this process so that we might draw as much inner growth as possible from it.

¿Estamos usando las herramientas ... o las herramientas nos están usando a nosotr-s?
Bienvenid-s a este post donde divagaré sobre nuestra relación con la tecnología ...
¿Es espiritual usar un computador? ¿Es espiritual no usar uno?
La verdadera pregunta es: ¿está consciente y atent- de lo que estás haciendo cuando decides si utilizar o evitar la tecnología moderna, particularmente redes sociales? Depende de cada persona observar si su espíritu está presente, por lo que cualquier cosa puede ser espiritual y no spiritual.
No es lo mismo ver un video tras otro para matar el tiempo e ignorar tus ansiedades internas, que ver un video con la mente, el corazón y los oídos abiertos, deseando aprender y conectarte con otra parte de la existencia.
De igual modo, no es lo mismo crear contenido para obtener recompensas monetarias, que crear el contenido que tu alma desea compartir con el mundo y recibir apoyo económico a cambio.
Aparentemente hay enfoques más conscientes de la tecnología. ¿Significa eso que desplazar la pantalla a través de redes sociales es una actitud no spiritual? Una vez más, se trata de lo consciente que estás sobre lo que consumes.
¿Estás prestando verdadera atención? ¿Estás filtrando la información que recibes? ¿Te estás abriendo a las diferentes verdades expuestas ante ti? ¿Está consciente de su respiración mientras hace esto?
También puede depender mucho de a quién sigas. Me gusta seguir muchas cuentas orientadas al crecimiento espiritual y cuando me pierdo desplazándome, siempre me recuerdan que vuelva adentro, que recuerde quién soy. Y eso se convierte en un momento de renacimiento espiritual. Puedo decir: "Cierto, puedo respirar y volver a casa aquí mismo, ahora mismo. Lo olvidé, pero ahora lo recuerdo, y estoy agradecido por eso".
Porque eso es lo que creo que realmente es la espiritualidad. Es la búsqueda constante de recordar quién eres. Y eso es bastante ilimitado. Somos una expresión de la divinidad y, por lo tanto, somos infinitamente poderos-s. Y estoy de acuerdo con la idea de que un gran poder conlleva una gran responsabilidad. Así que bien podríamos ser infinitamente responsables.
Mientras estemos en el ejercicio de comprender estas ideas y llegar a nuestras propias conclusiones sobre lo que significa y cómo queremos encarnarlo, estaremos siguiendo los pasos de nuestro viaje espiritual, y creo que las tecnologías como Internet puede ampliar enormemente la percepción de esto.
Todo tiene su luz y su sombra. No quiero glorificar las expresiones modernas de la tecnología. L-s antigu-s pudieron ser personas muy conscientes y conscientes sin nada de esto. No es fundamental, podríamos hacerlo igual de bien sin las herramientas modernas. Pero es parte del presente y también podemos decidir usarlas sabiamente.
Si estás creando contenidos, deberías prestar mucha atención a lo que está vertiendo en la web. Tienes la oportunidad de leerte a ti mism- una vez más y echar un vistazo más de cerca a lo que viene de ti, a qué energías estás respondiendo.
Además, lo que se publica en la red tiende a manifestarse de alguna manera. Hay que ser consciente de eso, cuidar las palabras, tratar que sean desde el Amor y con una mirada tan amplia como sea possible.
Entonces, esta es solo la capa externa de las cosas. Si empezamos a profundizar, bajamos por la madriguera del conejo. Porque Internet es en realidad una manifestación de la mente colectiva. Y en este punto nos hemos fusionado, nos hemos convertido en Unx con esta inteligencia.
Pensar que las pantallas táctiles responden a tu energía eléctrica. Esa energía tiene información tuya, así que no te sorprendas cuando hables de algo y unos minutos después recibas un anuncio relacionado. Sí, también estamos regalando mucha información con nuestras interacciones en línea, pero a veces hay cosas que Internet sabe que no hemos revelado, y ahí es donde las cosas se ponen raras.
Creo que me gustaría indagar en la influencia energética de todo lo que hacemos en otro post. Por ahora, respirar y mantenerse alerta. Mi conclusión es que el uso de la tecnología y las redes sociales son en realidad actividades altamente espirituales que nos permiten sumergirnos en las profundidades de nuestra conciencia como nunca antes, tomando conciencia del micro y macro cosmos, así como de cómo nos influencian. Lo único que cambia es cuánta atención ponemos en este proceso para que podamos sacar el mayor crecimiento interior posible de las redes.
