New iPhone 11, Apple Watch Series 5 and More Revealed at Apple Special Event

Apple held an event where they announced new products such as the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and the big daddy, the iPhone 11 Pro Max. They also updated the base-level 2019 iPad with a larger 10.2 inch screen (almost as big as the iPad Air!), Smart Connector and support for the first generation Apple Pencil.

All for just $329...

Students can snag the new 2019 iPad for $299. At those prices, there is no compelling reason to settle for less with a crappy Android device. iPads are built to last, with great battery life and can be tossed in a backpack and ready to go.

Apple Watch Series 5

Next up is the new Apple Watch. The new Series 5 model sporting an upscale titanium finish option and an always-on display. This allows you to take a quick glance at your device without raising your arm at a meeting, for instance. I see this feature coming in handy during workouts and on the job when your watch-hand may be in use. This is something a lot of people have been asking for in an Apple Watch and now they've got it. The display dims until you raise your wrist in order to realize an 18 hour battery life. The GPS model starts at $399, while the LTE model starts at $499. You can customize your purchase at the online Apple Watch Studio

Apple TV+

However, the real scene-stealer in my humble opinion, had to be the unveiling of the new Netflix-style Apple TV+ video streaming service. With series such as See starring Jason Momoa and The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon on offer for just $4.99 a month. The service is ad-free, with the ability to download shows and watch them offline.

With a price even lower than Netflix, Apple added one more surprise to whet the appetite of of even the most rabid cable-cutter. Anyone who buys a new Apple TV, iPad, Mac, iPhone or even an iPod Touch, will be offered one year of Apple TV+ service - for FREE! Family sharing included. You'll have 3 months after device activation to sign up, with subscription renewal after the free year at the regular $4.99 monthly price.

As soon as I saw that, I was sold. This will help to get even more Apple hardware into the hands of discerning consumers in order to sample the very best that Apple has to offer. Credit card at the ready, which product will be on your Christmas list?

Thanks for stopping by!

as much as i kind of loathe that tablets have become a part of life and i will want to hurt someone if they bring their iPad to a social gathering, i kind of have to agree with you about the quality.

I have owned multiple android tablets, something always happened to it, in one of them the battery exploded and in both of them the battery life went well down after just 6 months or so.

I had an iPad given to me, and although i only used it to play this tower defense game that wasn't available anywhere else, it was pretty quality. My mother still has the same iPad she bought years ago.

Personally, I would never spend 300 bucks on something that i consider to be an unnecessary accessory, but if you're into that sort of this, it is undeniable: The iPad is the way to go.

I hear you on gadgets and dislike it when I'm trying to talk to someone while they're staring at their phone. Yes, Apple builds those things like tanks which is why some don't upgrade as often. What really touches me are all of the stories from people whose lives were saved by the Apple Watch. I've never owned one, but that will change soon, as I can see the utility in using one. Thank you so much for your support.
