Certainly nuclear energy is a cleaner method of producing electricity, thus avoiding the emission of greenhouse gases. But there is still the question of radioactive waste, which is extremely dangerous and will remain so for hundreds of years. Not to mention the disasters caused by the breakdown of reactors, examples of which are well known. Perhaps we should go in another direction.
