Aprendiendo a Reparar Mi Pc # 05 – Placa Base. 2da Parte. / Learning to Repair My Pc # 05 - Motherboard. 2da part.
Hello friends of the hive!… To continue with my technical learning about computers today we follow the topic of the Motherboard and we will do it with an “Important Note”. Note: When we build, change or add devices we must change or activate some configuration or any other variable, therefore we must take notes of the modifications we are making and thus we can revert any changes that present errors. With this technique, we can safely modify hardware options despite being inexperienced users.
As I progress, I am realizing that it is not simply connecting and disconnecting devices, there are details that seem not to be very important and it is essential to keep them in mind before damaging any component, I mean the tools that we must use in some cases. Antistatic wristband: This wristband will help us prevent any static discharge from our body from damaging any of the components that we are manipulating, such as: Memories, microprocessors, video cards, etc.

Next we see the PCI socket that are usually white and we can use them to connect the so-called expansion boards that can be Network, sound, USB, etc. When we insert an additional plate we must be careful that it fits well so that all parts of the socket make contact. The number of PCI sockets that a motherboard can have varies from two to five, as you can see in this there are only two.
Battery or Battery Socket; What I show you next is where a battery is inserted that is usually called "The Motherboard Battery". I have read some very complicated definitions and today they explained it to me in a very simple way ... My PC had appeared before it was damaged A problem, when I turned it off, the time was damaged and a date of the year 2012 was placed, today I learned that this happens when the battery does not work. On motherboards there is a so-called low-level system that operates the date, time, time zone and even the BIOS settings (I'll write about this in another post). With this learning we can understand that if we modify the BIOS and do not remember what we did, we can remove the battery and the low-level system will restart as it left the factory, which I think is great to get out of a hurry! This battery is usually 3 volts (in some 5v) ... I think that when it comes time to learn about the BIOS it will get very interesting.

Today's class has been a bit interesting to me and a recommendation that I give to everyone is that we must repeat what we have learned almost daily to keep it fresh while we are adding new information to all this learning, I am reviewing daily what the names are of the components, it is a repetitive but necessary action.
