Monomad - 3 interesting insect species
This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
On the sidelines of the opportunity when hunting mushrooms in the cocoa and oil palm plantations, I also took time to go to the grass area, maybe there I could find some interesting insects.
And sure enough I was able to get 3 different species of insects. Of course I did not get all three at the same location and at the same time. The three insects I mean have been found before. But of course new discoveries produce a different view of the photo.
The three insects include:
Asilidae (robber flies) is a predatory insect species with a fierce appearance and is very fast and aggressive. I lost track of it several times when I was trying to take pictures of him, even when he was completely gone, I only got 3 photos.
And the second is Borbo cinnara from the Hesperiidae family. Similar to the Robber Fly, in terms of agility, this type of butterfly is also very agile in maneuvering in the air.
Then the last is the Sedge sprite, a species of damselfly in the Coenagrionidae family. This little dragonfly also has its own uniqueness in terms of its small size. Besides also having several color variations.
