What is your opinion about electric vehicles?

Greetings friends!

Governments all over the world are pushing people to buy electric vehicles. For this they are putting various types of restrictions on petrol and diesel vehicles so that people may opt EVs and discontinue their fossil fuel driven vehicles. However, EVs have many cons. They are not decreasing pollution. In fact, they are just transferring it to somewhere else. Also, they are not cost effective as initial price of them is too high compared to old vehicles. Their battery needs to be changed after some years. So, they are too costly. But, some people still think that they are nice and safe. What is your opinion?

Most of your options are negative..
What do you mean "hard to maintain"..there is almost no maintenance compared to a ICE vehicle... I'm a mechanic too,and it became so complicated now to fix a fossil vehicle,there are 10 thousand things that can go wrong and still expensive and hard to fix...other than break pads what else you need to maintain on a EV? Even those are not really necessary you can use Regen for braking...
It's true that they are still expensive and some brand make the too complicated,but things will change over time.
