The users of Twitter will be able to use a new feature, which will make it possible the following of given topics. Thanks to machine learning, the system of the microblog will show important tweets related to the interests of the users, and in addition to this, it will also be possible to "mute" some topics, so not follow.

They are testing the new feature with the Android application of Twitter, and sport topics. Later they will add additional topics to the testing process. The co-workers of the platform are striving to filter out misleading or harmful content. Kayvon Beykpour, product lead of Twitter, declared that the users can decide for example that they don't want to see politics related content for a day, and they would rather watch puppy images, or watch videos.

Thanks to machine learning, Twitter will find the selected content. To do this, titles or hashtags will not be required. The microblog hopes that the information finding will be easier with this.
