NASA has revealed areas where water ice is more likely to exist on Mars.

The reason for finding ice is simple. It is necessary for astronauts. Salt and water do not fall out of the politician's fasting. In particular, water can be shocked by dehydration even if you do not drink only a few days, and must be consumed for survival. It is important to find a place where water can be obtained during manned exploration, since it is not too light to take water from the earth. Water is also used to make rocket fuel.

Mars has a thin atmospheric layer. Most water exposed to the surface evaporates rapidly. So it is ice that should give hope on Mars.

Ice was found in a sample of soil landed by Mars Phoenix on Mars in 2008. NASA's Maros exploration robot, Curiosity Rover, found evidence of a lake on Mars.

NASA published a map of the surface of Mars and displayed the distribution of ice on Mars. The map will also be used when developing a plan to send astronauts to Mars. The place where ice can be easily secured is the landing site, and it is evaluated as a suitable place to build the Mars Research Institute.

Cool colors on the map indicate that ice is near the surface, and warm colors indicate that the ice is deep. The ideal landing place was separated by contours.

We also found that in certain regions, the ice was 2.5 cm below the earth's surface for easy access.

Sylvain Piqueux, of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, said in an article on the NASA website, "You don't need an excavator to dig ice." Said. That is, it is easy to collect resources.

"We will focus on the best places for astronauts to land and continue to collect data about ice buried on Mars," he added. NASA continues to watch changes in the amount of resources over time.
