Increasing Consciousness With A Mind Exercise That Reveals Your Brain Has Been Faking Reality

What if you learned that your brain and mind aren’t giving you the full picture? What if you could prove that your inner, sub-conscious programs are actually filling in the gaps of your perception with nothing more than what you expect to be true?

Check out this simple experiment and exercise in the video here, taken from ‘The holographic universe’ by Michael Talbot. The results show that we could very well be censoring out significant parts of life and not even know we are doing it.

Wishing you well,

@ura-soul, Conscious and Subconscious Brain = Our Observation. In my opinion our Soul knows the complete reality but in this Material and Physical realm we are not able to access the complete reality. But we never know which practice awake us to the reality. Stay blessed.

I agree that there is an aspect within that knows much more than we do consciously - however, it is possible to increase consciousness to integrate the larger part of us in every moment. As for the issue of whether that larger part knows everything that will ever occur, in advance - I'm not sure about that.. However, I do know for sure that there is some truth to that.

The great thing is, Anything Is Possible. And there are many secrets to this, specially if we observe kids nowadays they are showcasing the super level of Intelligence and it shows that their Brians are consuming higher levels of data.

The planet is healing and we are accelerating - but we have a way to go before this becomes obvious and many are actually devolving simultaneously.

The process of growth / change will inevitably involve some devolution as well as evolution.

Since the overall trend is evolution, I prefer to not use the term "devolution" here, and simply say that evolution proceeds thru ups and down, twists and turns, sudden switchbacks and long-term trends.

Sometimes (like today!), it seems as if we are slipping backwards, devolving, and going to hell in a handbasket.

But what is actually happening is that we are moving inexorably towards transcendence.

My goodness! I can't even take enough time to feel the brain faking reality of a sort. I mean is this like a defence mechanism of a sort? In essence I tried the excercise but I want to be cleared again, is it that I need to use my left eye to stare at the star and my right eye at the circle? I don't know I got lost into all the details and although when I tried from the brief information you gave out I sort of felt my head spinning and I want to ask the movement of the head is it vertical or horizontal? I want to try it out again.

Here are written instructions - they might make it easier:

Hold the illustration at eye level, close your left eye, and stare at the circle in the middle of the grid with your right eye. Slowly move the image back and forth along the line of your vision until the star vanishes (about 10 to 15 inches). The star disappears because it is falling on your blind spot. Now close your right eye and stare at the star. Move the image back and forth until the circle in the middle of the grid vanishes. When it does, notice that although the circle disappears, all the lines of the grid remain intact. This is because your brain is filling in what it thinks should be there.

Ahhhhh that's preposterous my! I just took time to try it again and boom here it goes. Thanks for the explanation in details as to why the star disappears really. It's something one of the complexities that comes with our existence and it's mind boggling.

Absolutely true, we are so caught up in the everyday rush. The stress of the modern times and forget what our true potential is. Thank you for the subtle but yet inspirational reality check.
