Tesla in talks to buy cobalt from Glencore (FT)

Tesla is reportedly in talks with Glencore, the world’s largest producer of cobalt, to buy cobalt supplies for its new factory in Shanghai.

Tesla says plans to open China design and research center (Reuters)

Tesla has announced plans to open a design and research centre in China to make “Chinese-style” vehicles. Location as well as potential start of operations for the new facility are thus far unknown.
