Hello, dear readers from both HIVE and outside of it! For today's first post here, I wanted to share a bit of what I know regarding the two software/applications that I've been working with as a radioman since last year, more specifically Jazler for Windows and MegaSeg for Macintosh.

At Radio USV, the student radio station of the Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava (USV), my current work place since November 2020, I've been using Jazler RadioStar.

Jazler RadioStar has a very easy user interface and all the constituent features that a radio automation package needs, as stated on their website here.

Some of its features include: songs database with advanced editing, quickedit feature in songs, jingles database, or advanced spots programming. It is very efficient on the Windows operating system and is very user friendly for someone who just gets to work in any radio for the first time.

Now on to MegaSeg, the application which is Macintosh compatible: this software is the perfect choice for a radio automation package which runs on either MacBook or iMac. MegaSeg or MegaSeg Pro has some of the following features: built-in music scheduling, event programming, and rules for track separation, as stated on their website here. The latest released version is MegaSeg 6 and you can learn more about it here: https://www.megaseg.com/about-pro.

Down below you can watch two handy tutorials if you're planning to use one or both of the aforementioned applications in your radio career:

That being said, thank you very much for your readership, your appreciation, and your support here on HIVE! :)
