Emergency services are already using the Starlink space internet from SpaceX

SpaceX announced that emergency services in California and Washington have just received access to the cosmic Internet.

There are such great fires, so the servants have their hands full.

Starlink now helps them in fast and stable communication.

It allows firefighters, police and medics to quickly exchange information between themselves and the command center and better plan their tasks. While the Starlink system is still in early testing, SpaceX is already trying to harness its potential for the benefit of society.

The Cosmic Internet from Elon Musk is a powerful communication tool.

It beats the currently available satellite communication systems.

The tests show that it is several times faster than traditional systems, and at the same time much cheaper to use. The system is perfect for the work of services in California and Washington.

There, fires are raging in hard-to-reach areas that often lack telecommunications infrastructure.

So being able to exchange information via orbiting satellites is a salvation for the services. Richard Hall, emergency telecommunications manager for the Washington Department of Military IT, praises Starlink.

"I have never set up any tactical satellite equipment that is so quick to set up and almost as reliable."

Connection to the system is just a matter of minutes.

In fact, all you need to do is set up the antenna and connect the terminal.

"I'm glad SpaceX can help!"

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk wrote on Twitter: There are currently more than 670 Starlink satellites in orbit.

By 2023, there will be 4,400 of them, and ultimately there will be over 20,000.

The existing fleet allows for connections to the global network at a speed of approx. 50 Mb / s (download) and approx. 15 Mb / s (upload), and all this with ping at the level of 30 to 90 ms, SpaceX plans to send more

100-200 devices.

The first commercial access to the space internet from SpaceX is expected at the beginning of next year.
