Being indoctrinated into the western mind frame I was taught that Gutenberg was the father of the printing press and his innovation revolutionized the world by making books affordable and widely available to the masses. Concurrently old biddies began hosting bible study whilst sipping tea from Asia and likely boasting about how they were single-handedly repopulating the earth post plague.

Both the tea and the plague had a common lineage in that they were products of the silk road and originated in Asia. What those Bible thumpers and even I myself didn't know was that the concept of printing also came from Asia?!?

A bit of a duh doy moment when I think about it 🤔 I mean what doesn't come from Asia? Spaghetti ! Nope your favorite Italian pasta is an Asian noodle. Fireworks that evolved into WMDs-Asian, the war mongering and imperialism the west so covets-Asian.. In fact Genghis Khan is the direct descendant of .5% of the world's male population and an unknown percentage of females, one can surmise this one man seeded 1% of the over 7 billion people living today.

Anyway, I just figured I'd share these lil bread crumbs to introduce the idea that nothing comes into this world by the sole isolated efforts of one white dude..

It takes at least two to make a thing go right. Like Dan and Ned or "Danned" two white dudes that likely borrowed or stole the core concepts from an Asian kid at University over bong hits and bad house music. I can't prove this of course but if history is our guide, one can deduce there is legitimacy to my claim. So, as you type away today, think about the combined efforts or manifestations of the collective conscious, and ask yourself what thoughts are you putting into the air?

Will incessant echo chambers like steem will things into existence ? If you say it enough times does it become true? Has steem become the abode of the despairing positive printers of fluff and optimism ? A result of their painful cognitive dissonance that compels them to devalue the reality of a devalued currency that lacks the fulfilment of any real needs of a community, or even a product that real humans might care about? Yes, I'm implying steemians and steem monsters players aren't real! You can prove you're real by sending me steem!

We have a fast dependable means of exchange here but like the piece meal birth of the printing press we aren't the first and we certainly aren't the last to attempt to evolve a blockchain into something ubiquitous.. Can steem become the Gutenberg of transacting in a digital world?
