Can Technology replace Love and that need for a Heart-to-Heart communication?
We are happy with the way the world is changing. I mean, with technological platforms like WhatsApp, FaceTime, Instagram, Zoom, Skype, Telegram, Facebook, Tinder, LinkedIn, Texts etc, it has become really easily to communicate more than ever before.
With these platforms, you can reach anyone anywhere and at anytime and thank goodness, those days of the Post office method of sending messages are behind us.
Barrier is no reason why you cannot reach anyone you want to and you can be assured of speed and reliability,but it doesn't make love complete.
But then, my question is, **can Technology replace Love and that need for a Heart-to-Heart communication?
If technology is so good, why do we still crave that face to face communication?
Human nature is based on a need to be able to understand what is and what appears to be what the heart wants. Human nature has a need for close and physical connectivity that helps the heart have a close knit to home.
With these platforms, you can reach anyone anywhere and at anytime and thank goodness, those days of the Post office method of sending messages are behind us.
Love and technology are the most advanced and ever living piece of life form that everyone cannot do without. You may be a sadist or some kind of unhappy person, but, you cannot deny your need for technology and love.
I personally look forward to meeting my loved ones whenever I have stayed away from them for a long time. We do the normal chatting and the video calls, but it is not enough as it is just a means to an end but not really completely strong enough to make the heart stay away from that personal touch.
With more advancements coming down the line, we are not yet sure how technology can replace love because, there is more to love than just some gadgets.
Have you thought about how we can really use technology to foster heart-to-heart interactions? Will there be like some AI technology that can allow you touch your loved one a thousand mile away? That will be fun and one thing the world will want to see.
I love the fact that, I can interact with anyone from anywhere and at anytime (when they are awake and reachable though) and also happy, things are easier to do from one part of the world to the other rather than moving there in person. But there is that one thing we cannot do through the chats, calls, video and audio calls and that is the good 'ol heart-to-heart communication.
I read a story of a guy who proposed to his long time girl friend through Skype and promised to consummate the union when he returns home, but as the days rolled by, he could not make it back on time.
11 months later, he returned only to find his fiance pregnant for his younger brother who was the one fostering the communication between them. When asked, the lady said, she was "lonely and needed to be touched."
Technology is cool and will be the best thing to happen to humanity if it will not completely kill of the good 'ol heart-to-heart communication.
How do we go about putting love into technology?
