Drones Delivering Blood Samples in Germany
Drones have been delivering a growing number of goods around the world.
Drones can be used to deliver life saving equipment in major cities and other areas around the world.
In some of those medical circumstances the chances of survival can decrease 10% for every minute that passes where an individual doesn't get attention, when needing a defibrillator for example, and drones can get there up to 4x faster than the ambulance.
Not only are they faster but they are also more cost effective as well. Studies have suggested that in the future we might see drones play a more significant role in the healthcare industry and it is because of the value and overall efficiency that they can provide.
In Germany where drones have been tested for years on various deliveries it is estimated that they might help save 20% in costs or more. There is also a German startup that has created a delivery drone which is capable of delivering multiple packages too. The hope there is that fewer drones might be able to make more deliveries, rather than just doing one each. It isn't just Germany working on drone deliveries either of course, we have seen them in the U.S., NZ, and a growing number of countries now around the world looking to see what value drones might provide.
And... again... we pay lip service to eco-friendly.
The most energy intensive way to deliver anything.
Use electricity to rotate propellers to keep the weight in the air.
Of course this makes sense in dense cities where delivery distances are extremely small and street traffic is quite congested.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, all of this comes to an end when people abandon cities.
agree I would help a lot in health care if we use drones as transport of good like blood for example
