Yelling at Hard Drives makes them run slower!

No, it's not clickbait. It's straight up true! Check this out:

In watching this video, the best hypothesis I can come up with is the sound waves make contact with the spinning platter in the Hard Drive and cause it to start to vibrate. The Hard Drive detects the vibration and slows down to avoid doing damage to the disk.

But this is outside my realm of expertise, so I'm just guessing. Regardless, this is funny as hell! I'm amazed I've never seen this video before!
