If you haven't looked at the ASRock motherboards, you should. Solid components, especially when you're on a budget.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into one. The main reason I chose this was the onboard wifi and it would support the USB type c port on the case. I don't like dead ports and actively do use type c and so it just makes sense to get something that would have support for it.

My current desktop has a USB type C port on the back of the back, and I believe it supports it on the front. Take a look around, see what they have available.

And I agree. Dead ports are annoying.

I'm pretty happy with the price of everything. It's just about finding the CPU in stock now. And with how good they are, I think it might be a hard task to do.
