Technology on Flights

Hi Friends,

Changes in technology have come a long way on airline flights. I remember the days you couldn’t even have your cell phone on while the plane was in the air as it could disrupt the signal to the pilot.

On our recent flights, every seat now has a tv and WiFi is free or very cheap -times have certainly changed. On the negative side though, there are smaller/fewer free meals and you can get nickel and dimed on things like luggage and change fees.

Airport security procedures have also improved over the last few years and it seems the days of extremely long lines are mostly over.

What has your flying experience been lately?

Thanks for coming by,

Brian

My last flight was to Italy in business class and it was fun. British airways is amazing

I love to travel, so I take plane rides a few times a year. I do enjoy the tech conveniences available in flight. Some airlines charge for every baggage one has. Luckily, I’ve learned to travel light. If my travel is just within the US, and because I really do not eat much during flights, it is okay for me personally that they have done away with free meals. It is great that snacks are still available. And besides, there are better choices available at airport food stores/restaurant than what is offered inflight. International inflight meals have always been good, in my personal experience.
Great discussion, my friend.

International travel has come a long ways. On my last flight to Australia it was free movies and alcohol. Not to mention the three meals I had on the plane were pretty good.
