![English]Hello, Hive friends!... Happy Friday to everyone!...
At the school where I work as a Master of Practical Teachings, there’s a classroom where they store measuring devices and other unused objects that are not part of the inventory because they’re obsolete. Some of them were about to be thrown away, and by chance, someone asked me if I could use this oscilloscope for anything. So, I decided to use it as a teaching material for a class on the history of electronic components.

![English] When disassembling the oscilloscope, the students were surprised not to see any circuit boards. I told them that, in the past, components were soldered together like a spiderweb, all mounted on a chassis. The past reveals many things, like how technology used to be, for example.

![English]They also noticed that the components were much larger than what they were used to handling. Potentiometers and capacitors, for example, were much bigger. When checking the tolerances, they observed that they were larger in percentage as well. I asked them to take photos of the components and look them up on Google. They were surprised to see the prices of obsolete items listed at vintage prices.

Volví a preguntar a qué coleccionista?...

![English]The students, surprised by the prices of vintage vacuum tubes, said: "We’d be millionaires if we sold all this." I laughed and asked them, "Who are we going to sell this to?" They replied, "To a collector." I asked again, "Which collector?" It was a great research lesson with the kids.
