In what is an amazing developments, a quantum circuit has been created by an Australian team. The quantum circuit can be used to understand how materials operate at quantum scale, so such technolgy could be groundbreaking for metallurgy, materials science and organic chemistry. This amazing development has opened the door to many new technological developments.

The quantum computer is an advanced computing device that uses individual atomic particles called Qubits to solve equations at an extremely fast speed. The quantum computer is being developed by companies including IBM and world goverments for it's potential to unlock mysteries that current computers cannot accomplish. Many problems involve organic molecules and their interactions and even issues of national security. The quantum computer and quantum circuit are tools that allow scientists and engineers to model materials and quantum scale and see how they will interact with other materials at that scale.

The actual development of a circuit similar to those used in contemporary computers at a quantum scale is fascinating. The Australian team who developed this quantum circuit took 9-years to complete it. The circuit was built by adding "quantum dots" onto a circuit inside of a vacuum using a powerful election microscope. Individual atoms were used including phosphorus. The painstaking process took years, and yielded this amazing product. Previously the Qubits have been isolated in the core of a quantum computer, but this allows for processing similar to what is seen in contemporary computers but at the quantum computing level.

The quantum circuit can be used to evaluate extremely detailed calculations quickly. As an example, artificial photosynthesis and fertilizer processing can be evaluated at a molecular level to see the interactions between the individual atoms. The simulation of organic molecules at an atomic level would take more computing power and time than is currently available, but a quantum processing circuit can accomplish this with Qubits. With such an amazing discovery, many new discoveries are being unlocked.
