SUMMER ADVENTURES - Episode 29 - THE BUZZ AROUND IVY

avatar

At the end of summer ...

... there is a lot of buzzing ...

... around the old trees ...

... and old houses ...

... conquered by spreading nature and covered with ivy ...

... like this beautiful example of the old, rural architecture, near the center of my hometown ...

... for the ivy, this is the flowering time ...

... and for the many ...

... wasps ...

... and ...

... bees ...

... this is a time of intense feeding and food-collecting activity ...

... a very ...

... busy - buzzy time :D ...

... I love the sound ...

... and colors ... of these scenes around the ivy ... and I can easily spend hours watching this buzz ... in a similar state of mind like when I'm near some ant colony watching the ant's daily work ...

... but the ivy is not only about flowers ...

... there is dense foliage underneath ...

... with always something to discover ...

... a lovely little spider here ...

...a  strange ...

... minuscule moth there ...

... there is always something ...

... interesting to observe ...

... while the buzzing wasps and bees upstairs ... are providing the soundtrack ...

... especially moths are very present here ... some of them very well camouflaged ... like this one ... merging with a brown part of the leaf ...

... the same moth ...

... with different background ...

... another ...

... pretty gray species ...

... and another ... this one very small ...

... but not all moths that are hiding here ...

... are so modest in their appearance ...

... this one is pretty elegant ...

... and now ...

... with this minuscule fly with decorated wings, wandering through the shade among the leaves ...

... and these little grabbing roots of the ivy ...

... it's time ...

... to end this buzz :D ...

... as always in these posts on Steemit ...

... the photographs and GIFs made from some of these photographs - are my work.

These are wonderful! I love the moths. They are like little flying works of art.

True ... even when not colorful, the lines and mimetic shapes and shades on the wings are very intricate and beautiful.

Wow that peach fuzz spider is pretty cool and the strange porcupine vine growing on the side of the tree.
