José Mourinho | Is Tottenham the right team for The special one?

avatar

Tottenham Hotspur hired a coach José Mourinho!

There are many questions on that relationship between Mourinho and Tottenham.

How would Mourinho be accepted by fans who loved Pochettino?

How do fans compare to the fact that a Portuguese coach recently claimed that out of respect for Chelsea, where he spent many years, London's neighbours would never have been trained?

How will Mourinho, known for his wastefulness and billions spent on stellar reinforcements, understand with club boss Daniel Levy, who is one of the least spending managers in the football world?

The crucial question, however, is whether Mourinho is still a coach from whom big things can be expected? The one who did not hesitate to call himself The special one? Or is he just an annoying and eternally complaining egoist?

Daniel Levy offered Mourinho a double salary compared to Pochettino's salary and has a contract by the end of the season 2022/2023. But will he keep it when he was fired from the last two stops in Chelsea and Manchester United after a few seasons when he practically quarrels the team?

Tottenham hopes that by engaging the famous name, he makes a vigorous step among the world's top leaders he has seen and where he would like to stay last season. But the fact that he hired Mourinho to do this is not only a matter of understanding.

Yes, I personally worry what Mourinho can do in Tottenham some damage.

He does not start from scratch, but practically from minus when I take the number of points and a loss to TOP 4. While the Argentine coach pride himself on a paternal approach and a warm relationship with fans he enjoyed brave football, Mourinho is a pragmatist who will do everything for the results.

For example, his criticism of Lampard's early-season approach, shaking his head at why he puts so much burden on young players Mount or Abraham. A general lesson that older players must play when it comes to something. This is a classic example of Mourinho's pragmatism.

But let's take a look at Mount, Abraham and Tomori now - they are in the senior team and the first two have completed not only several starts but also the first goals for England!

Mourinho has many titles and trophies in the collection, unlike Pochettino, but they came more in the first half of his coaching career with Porto, Chelsea, Inter or Real. The second appearance in Chelsea and a few seasons in Manchester brought him some trophies, but it was no longer the ride as it once was. Also the constant quarrels and accusations of referees, that many fans will remember.

Mourinho won the League Cup and the European League with Manchester United, but much more was expected for the money spent. For example, an attack on the title in PL and successes in the Champions League, but they were far from Mou.

After almost a year's pause, during which he worked as a television expert, Mourinho is now returning. He refused offers from AC Milan and Lyon and speculated about Bayern Munich, but Mourinho decided to take a job in London, where he lives for years. And quite secretly, well admit, which one of you knew ?!

I personally liked Mourinho, his approach, style, a joke. But I think it has disappeared and I am convinced that Tottenham and Mourinho will not make the titles and cups together and he will end before the contract expires.

But I might be wrong.

What do you think of the connection between Mourinho and Tottenham?

To be honest Pochettino's sacking to me was unjust but if you think about it coaches these days have no luck of mercy if they start losing games.

Talking about the Mou and Spurs relationship, it is certainly obvious there is no relationship in terms of style and culture of the club, the same goes with Utd when he was appointed manager, questions about the style and culture of the club arose.

Can he stay up to the end of the contract and have a peaceful dressing room?
The fixtures as they come will tell in the weeks ahead.

Thank you for stopping by, maybe the old capo will surprise us. As I mentioned in some of my previous articles, I see him only on the Portuguese bench. This is what he told in some of the interviews years ago - that he can train the national team while he will be an old coach. But that would mean Fernando Santos will end up, but everyone knows how he successful is.

A to bude asi konečná Joseho v anglickým fotbale.

Škoda, zasloužil by si odejít ověnčenej nějakým titulem :)
