Volta, from the Portuguese "back". Be prepared because street football returns in style in FIFA 20. A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to try the spiritual successor of FIFA Street and in this article we come to tell you what we think of which is undoubtedly one of the great attractions of this new installment of FIFA.

Dribbling, impossible tricks and fun

These could be the three words with which we would define Volta. The gameplay is very similar to that of FIFA Street and we liked that a lot. Electronic Arts has wanted to rely on 11vs11 since "this is still football" and this means the elimination of more fanciful elements such as the "gamebreaker" shot. Despite that, the essence of the gameplay is still street football.

Volta is a way to disconnect and have fun. The amount of dribbles and watermarks you can do is incredible and causes the feeling that it doesn't matter to score more goals, but to make the most beautiful and spectacular play possible. For anyone who is afraid of not being FIFA Street they remember, calm, so we have been able to prove the feelings you have when you play it are practically identical.

In Volta you will not only be able to play 4vs4 but as already presented there will also be a 3vs3 option without a goalkeeper (where players will have to use their legs to stop), 5vs5, or even futsal. Logically in this last modality the faults will be sanctioned while in the rest the entrance will have to be very noticeable and aggressive to be called.

An important factor within Volta is that the fields are going to have a crucial importance in the gameplay. They will be of different size and sometimes they will have walls and sometimes they will not, which will condition the possible tricks we can do. Taking the trick to each of the street fields will be a challenge for all players.

In short, regarding the gameplay expect a FIFA Street without gamebreaker and logically with the technical improvements over the years.

Volta is an ideal complement to FIFA 20. And it seems like a different game. They could perfectly have sold it separately under the name of FIFA Street but EA has decided to include it in this year's delivery. They also confirmed that they did not move people in other ways to work in this one but that they hired new staff so the rest of the title will not be damaged by this addition.

Volta is fun, dribbling, humiliation, piques, in short football. And almost all of us have played street football, Volta football, not 11vs11 of the most professional matches. That is why FIFA needed to bring back the essence of FIFA Street, the essence of this beautiful sport.

The biggest danger of the mode is that it does not have enough depth to engage players throughout the year. In this sense the Wolrd League mode will be very important. But as a complement it will be ideal and makes FIFA 20 the most complete delivery in the entire history of the franchise. Create your player, call your friends and be ready because street football returns to the scene.
