A bittersweet change for the saga

Aurora, a gigantic island to discover

Auroa, a fictional island (for the first time in the series) in which we will run into an environment where developers have listened to the requests of Wildands players to add a series of changes giving the title a more realistic and improved touch playability On the other hand, the title of Breakpoint reveals the narrative in which the Ghost sometimes meet before missions on the verge of failure where we will see feelings of pain, trauma, brotherhood and mental exhaustion reflected in the protagonists.

Skell Technology has established itself on the island with ideals unfit for national security, a company that is dedicated to all types of robotics and an outstanding and worrying military technology. But the thing is not there because, Aurora is at the mercy of the so-called Wolves, former members of the Ghost headed by Cole D. Walker, a character that gives life to the well-known actor John Bernthal ("The Walking Dead", "Marvel's The Punisher "). Thus, our Ghost must order and safeguard both the inhabitants of Aurora and the potential resources and settlements present on the island.

Breakpoint tries to reinvent the saga, though, not with a turn of three hundred and sixty degrees but rather drinking heavily from titles such as The Division brand. And, this new Ghost Recon puts before us a military 'sandbox' with great touches of RPG as we have been able to enjoy recently in The Division 2 where the level rise, the improvement of skills and the improvements and purchases of weapons and equipment will be To the order of the day. As well as the possibility of choosing between one of the four available classes and improving the skill tree of each one of them; assault, field doctor, sniper and panther but ... they will not be the only ones because there will still be surprises in the 'endgame'.

Virtually unlimited possibilities, fun and entertainment

The possibilities of the game fulfill all that we can expect from a military sandbox, but above all Breakpoint achieves what it proposes to be fun for the player. We are faced with a truly gigantic map and not at all desolate because the continuous climatic changes, the multiple settlements, the great variety of patrol boats and an endless number of secret areas make us want to continue spending hours in the title. But not only that because we can play in the way that we most want so much in online multiplayer performing missions in cooperative mode or just spending time tracking the island or directly joining an entertaining PvP by teams of four where we must eliminate the players from opposing team in a small area of the mapping.

In the same way, we will have various survival options during our walk around the island because we will have the possibility to hunt to eat, drink water to regain strength or even collect different plants to make healing medicines. Likewise, the game will start when we get to reach the main settlement Erewhon where as in the Division we will find other players online, new main and secondary missions will be unlocked and we will also have the opportunity to make purchases to improve our equipment and access to the mentioned PvP.

The archipelago in which Auroa is located is a southern paradise that consists of 8 hand-picked biomes, which include jungles, swamps, mountainous and desert areas, as well as numerous buildings and witnesses of the different civilizations that have colonized the place. On the other hand, it will not be enough with the main and secondary missions or the competitive multiplayer to say everything that Breakpoint offers us because, once the main story is over, an “endgame” care will begin with new classes, weapons and missions that will increase in large Dose the possibilities and fun of the game.

An impeccable artistic finish ‘Made in Ubisoft’

The design of the characters and the AI complies correctly, although some modeling could have taken a little more care, especially in regard to the choice of the design of our character and some animations of the NPCs that do not convince at all. Nor will some house brand bugs be exempt where our character can float to nothing or die blocked while trying to climb a simple rock. Something that does not detract from the title at all and we can play it with total peace of mind.

The twist that Ubisoft has wanted to give the brand has been good, in part, to Breakpoint as we find a title on horseback between Wildlands and The Divison with tactical touches and RPG quite similar to what was seen in the title above mentioned. The change with respect to its predecessor could be described as one hundred and eighty degrees, giving a certainly perfect result in terms of fun and playability, but that often lags behind the Wildlands and does not reach the evolution expected by fans of the saga

The possibilities and the vast and beautiful mapping of Auroa will make us spend hours in front of Breakpoint without realizing and all entertained with an interesting and entertaining online multiplayer mode but for many players and especially for the most faithful of the saga we will find ourselves before an improvable title that may not enchant everyone.
