Free Energy Scams are hilarious

Oh god, I keep on seeing these show up on my feed and that just means one thing: People are eating it up left and right.

hilarious

To be fair, it's everyone's priority to learn how these components work. I know adults, and let me emphasize the word adults who don't know what a spark plug is, but they seem to do fine in life.

This is to say, we are not less effective at this whole living thing, if we don't know how electricity or engines work, but it does mean that there is a simple disconnection in the logic.

If, I had no idea how a spark plug works, then I should not opine on how "awesome" these little gadgets are. More so, I should not conclude, having no knowledge on the matter, that:

It must be true... government is hiding this!

When I have no idea of what I'm looking at to begin with.

I tried, maybe to my detriment, to explain to some people in my life how none of this makes sense. How there is no such thing as "free energy" and stupidly discussed the math on the subject. Energy losses, loads, etc.

I think I've concluded that I can't help much, because even to those around me, it seems like I'm just a skeptic guy who probably doesn't really know everything. And yes, I don't, but I do know what I'm looking at, and I have a pretty good idea as to how the fake it all.

Why fake it?

This might be the question that people don't seem to grip. If they are not selling anything, if they are giving away the info for free, why waste time?

The answer is simple: They are making money.

Yes, you are clicking the silly videos, where they connect CDs with tin foil and make a solar panel (not even kidding). You are fascinated (I don't mean you per say, but the hypothetical you) that with two spark plugs and some magnets, you can power a drill.

These videos have millions of hits, and seem to sprout like weeds. So, they will keep on making them.

If you doubt me

I'll say this much, with the hopes that the simplicity of the explanation makes all the sense in the world.

Imagine electrical energy to be water flowing, imagine that everything that uses this water has holes in it. Imagine that through the process of the water doing what it must, it loses a lot of water. How then, will you get more water at the end of the pipe than the water you started with?

This is the analogy that sums it up. Even if you don't understand spark plugs, magnetic fields, or how a car alternator generates electricity.

What comes out can never be more that what goes in.

Tesla was pretty sure that he could harness electricity and deliver it for free. Likely why he was ostracized and made out to be mad. Free cannot happen because the system will not allow it to happen.

That is certainly not to take away from your point, that little gadget does not look like the solution to our energy woes.

i think i saw a video about a ray of sorts that tesla was working on. One can only wonder if he actually cracked it or not.

Trying to explain things to conspiracy theory people hardly work out, they are more interested in being right and be part of the group that "truly knows what's going on" than really understanding what's happening. But congrats on your efforts to change that!

I've never watched such videos as I tend to dismiss any links or emails I see about such things. If they did work then it would be mainstream by now despite any efforts of oil companies. Thousands of scientists try to improve on such things all the time, but they know the limits of what is possible. Mind you, I remember the excitement about cold fusion.

People want to believe there's some Big Secret that's being kept from them be it free energy, alien visits or satanist paedophile politicians.

im sure we will find a way to harness cheaper energy, we might even know it now, but these videos are just amazingly stupid.

Im gonna read up on cold fusion.

People have been trying to crack 'hot fusion' as long as I've been looking into science. Some problems are just hard.

There's a rush to renewables in the current energy crisis, but efficiency could make more difference. We waste so much energy and produce too much crap we don't need. Part of the problem is economies built on limitless production and consumption. Designs for more efficient homes and transport are less marketable.

This is an interesting read.

My Dad likes to use the example of tying a rope under his car, from front to back, and towing himself places, to save fuel.

Didn't Tesla think it was possible to extract free electrons from the air like a funnel?
Didn't capitalists not want that to happen because it's unprofitable to give things away?
Didn't the first person to invent a viable hydrogen/water powered car get murdered by the CIA?
Isn't it possible to "grow" electricity in the roots of plants?

Wow, that sounds like complete bullshit...

The reason why people believe stupid shit is because literally everyone in charge has been lying to them since they were born. Can you imagine when science is funded by crypto and the only thing required to make the science profitable is if it benefits the community? Like... we have been living the the Dark Ages 2.0. It's time to step out of this tunnel and into the light.

oh, thats the crux of the problem. Is the government guilty of insane cover ups? Hands down, no doubt in my mind. But, you find the truth teller on youtube... hahahah
