The amazing intelligence of birds

We have always heard about the intelligence of some animals such as primates or dolphins, in addition to of course our pets that are the smartest in the world.

But little or almost nothing is said about the intelligence of some birds, such as crows and magpies, capable of solving complex problems despite their small brains.

These birds are not only capable of repeating words and sounds, but they name their companions and even the people they live with, of course with their squawks.

Very few animals are recognized in a mirror - the chimpanzee, the orangutan, the Indian elephant, the bottlenose dolphin and few more, even babies are unable to recognize themselves before 18 months.

For crows and magpies are also capable of recognizing themselves in the mirror as can be seen from the experiments carried out at the Ruhr University in Bochum.

They are able to solve complex problems that even need to be done in a specific sequence to get food, even they can throw nuts on the road to be crushed by cars and go down to eat them, while the traffic light is red.

They are able to recognize the usefulness of a tool, learn to use it and save it for later use, and they can also transmit the knowledge acquired to the rest of the group.

If you are interested in the subject, you just have to type in google: "experiments with crows" and you will be able to see a lot of videos where you can see all these skills that I have mentioned.
