Teleworking is nothing new, for many years now, certain types of professionals have developed their professions from home or anywhere else.

But now, in the confinement in which we are because of the damn microbe, it is urgent to avoid close contact with people and it is essential to work from home.

For large companies, it is not difficult, there are plenty of companies capable of offering us the most amazing technologies to be in close contact from any part of the globe, but, yes, the prices they manage are very far from the pockets of mortals.

To this we will have to add the fact that, after the pandemic, many of the jobs that were temporarily suspended will completely disappear.

For this reason I would like to pay a humble tribute to the Google monster that, for free, provides us with all the tools we could wish to develop our ideas.

Not only do we have email and an agenda / calendar at our disposal, we also have the possibility of editing any type of document and storing it safely in a cloud where we have 15 Gb of free storage.

It also gives us free of charge the possibility of making videoconferences with our collaborators or clients, through Hangout and offers us a video channel to disseminate our products or services.

Obviously, all that glitters is not gold and we cannot forget that, when a product is free, the product is you and Google is not an NGO.

Through its products, Google learns our habits and preferences and then sells them to the highest bidder, but we have to evaluate whether it is worth it.

Personally I think that it compensates, after all, tools such as Facebook and WhatsApp are much more aggressive and there we do get completely naked in exchange for satisfying our vanity.
