Citizen science is a great way to involve children and adults in discovery and contribute to scientific research and conservation. Project FeederWatch through Cornell University is a great way to get involved in citizen science. You can learn more at the Project FeederWatch website.
I typically watch birds on Saturday and Sunday. This is my report for 23-24 November 2019.
The 2019-2020 season goes through 3 April 2019.

There are birds that are very skittish, they fly away before I can get a photograph. Sometimes I just need to stand very still at my camera, ready to take the photograph.

How did you get so close in the second photograph of the Red-Bellied Woodpecker, my favourite of them all.
Your North American birds are far more colourful than ours.
Many thanks for the photographs. It brighten up my evening.
I was exactly the same distance I am from most of the birds photographed. I used the full zoom (300 mm) to take the photograph. Then I cropped the photograph which enlarged it at the same time. I used an ISO setting of 100. This generally allows me to enlarge the photographs a bit without loosing detail.
The photograph is one of my favorites too. It looks like the little guy was posing for the picture. But actually it was getting ready to fly away.
