For all those who lack or need to boost your imagination here you go this is for you :)))

well yeah i have been a fan of science fiction for such along time and now the realization of much that i have seen or learned about is coming into being much like mobile phones or communicators on star trek with sound and video . As much as i have professed that thought could actually travel faster than light is all of a sudden a real possibility to which i say told you so :))) oh were not there yet but i think also were not ready either ...

As we learn more about space it seems the limitations are ordinary learning steps into the future the more we learn the better we live and our hopes and dreams for some not all of a future traveling in space to new worlds albeit unknown so we might just be food for another pretty barbaric civilization and since we still prey upon our own species killing and pillaging for fun profit or just vanity we might or probably be seen as the evil space invaders to them or even worse in competition for something more valuable or a territory other we know nothing about right now. In either scenario it will have a learning curve on how to explore limitless space and how we must conduct ourselves if one day if it ever so happen to meet other intelligent life forms and will we be able to share technologies who knows there maybe hope after all for us humans:)))

yeah i know its like science fiction but Traveling faster than light and time-travel could be real for tachyons.. was reading about https://www.space.com/tachyons-facts-about-particles how they will probably be the missing link :)))

Tachyons, as many ideas in theoretical physics, are hypothetical. Therefore, for now they do not exist except in our minds. Observing them would, as I said in my previous comment, revolutionise physics.

However, we are not there (at least yet) :)

but there are people working on it :))) "We are beginning an experiment at Berkeley to detect tachyon-like quasiparticles. There are strong scientific reasons to believe that such quasiparticles really exist, because Maxwell's equations, when coupled to inverted atomic media, lead inexorably to tachyon-like solutions.
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/what-is-known-about-tachy/ well maybe sooner than we think :))) but who's counting lol

Beware, a tachyon-like object is different from a tachyon. It is an object that under specific circumstances behaves as if it would be a tachyon (it consists in an effective description). An elementary particle that is a tachyon is a different story. I had the latter in mind when answering.

To summarise, we compare apples with pears here (I know that from very far, an apple looks like a pear; they are however not the same ;) ).

guess it might be a while before we see something and hopefully well see warp drive in this lifetime ...

What?! I didn't know he passed away. I must admit I don't regularly follow what is going on around ITER (it is a bit far from what I do). Damned.... 72 was not very old...

We will definitely see something (we already saw something). The "something" just needs to be defined.

Cheers!

NASA is obviously still working out the kinks of their warp drive, but perhaps it's only a matter of time before at least neighboring star systems, like Proxima Centauri, will be in reach for human crews. Until then, we can only look at the furthest stars using our telescopes. ⓒ 2021 TECHTIMES.com

Dear @darsico, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
https://peakd.com/me/proposals/199

Your support would be really helpful and you could make a difference.
Thank you!
