Plastic eating bacteria;
The havoc to the environment is products that are comprising plastic as it none degradable; consumption of this plastic is resulting in the formation of algal blooms which is inducing death if aquatic life as they can't withstand in deficiency of oxygen. Instead of making petitions to people for restricting the usage of plastic and their throw out in the freshwater reservoir; scientists have excavated a modern way to tackle this issue what's that;

  • Plastic eating bacteria;

Yes, it may look unusual, but the fact behind implicating this bacterium that mainly secretes the enzymes PETase which engulfs the polyurethane and makes these chunks of plastics degradable. Furthermore, the research for biotechnology to enhance the functionality of this bacterium either their recombination with other enzymes that have the adequate qualification to degrade the plastic.

As we all know the manufacturing of plastic bottles encompasses repeating units of polymers; which make them less competent to dissolve in water thereby such a bacterium is significant in recycling plastic; making the environment friendly and eliminating plastic pollution.

One more outcome of this discovery would be the manufacturing consequence by plastics industry would be the surety to prevent their producers from the hungry bacteria;
