SpaceX launches 5th batch of 60 Starlink Satellites [Live: 15.03.2020, 13:22 UTC]

In the meantime competition for satellite constellations is heating up. OneWeb has started launching satellites on Soyuz rockets and is about to lauch the 3rd batch at the end of March.


Elon Musk imploded Starship Mk1 into the air during pressure testing. Not to worry, Mk2 is almost ready.


SpaceX is launching 60 additional Satellites for their own Starlink Constellation.

The booster is a Block 5 on its 5th flight and will land on a drone ship. This is the first time a booster will be reused for the 5th time.

The mission to low earth orbit will launch from LC 39 at Kennedy Space Center.

SpaceX will attempt to capture the fairings.

Cargo:

  • Payload mass is approximately 15,6 tonnes
  • 60 Starlink Satellites
