If you had to pick one ...?

Had a conversation lately that I thought would be nice to bring here ...

If the windows, mac and linux machines were removed from the world, which computer or games system would you choose?

Please add your thoughts in the comments :)

At first I thought "wow, easy, I would choose C64" but then I thought about it more and realized I would have to still do my work in my case - I am basically unemployable outside of what I currently do with this generation of computers. That makes things a lot more difficult! I would have to go with Amiga because at least I could get actual work done with a fully upgraded unit.

If it was JUST games, it gets no easier because there are a lot of games on the Amiga that are just not great, with a few real gems. Nintendo wins there ...

Absolutely would though I know nothing about them since I grew up in the UK. My uncle had one but I didn't see it in action since at that time he had one of the candy imacs :)

Interesting, my buddy had a Playstation 1 and the 3D turned me off. Once first person shooters became popular I went from being really into it to entirely out of gaming. Duke Nukem 3D was probably the last first person game I really got into in fact :)

I probably should have said playstation 2 actually. I never had or liked the first playstation. Im sort of leaning toward nintendo 64 though as well and maybe even the original Sega Genesis - both for the nostalgia of them.
