I remember the ST and GEM very well!
At the time, they were beating up Commodore and Apple!

In the end I think Amiga clobbered the ST overall. But if you were a musician then the ST was the computer to have. For games, video, and digital art, the Amiga was better...most of the time. I was stuck with a Commodore 64 myself but I absolutely loved it.

I was lucky, again! šŸ˜…
I was in Europe and turned total computer nerd...
Besides a ST, and a few other curious Atari's (PC1 amongst others..) I was a straight down the line Commodore fan. I had them all - except Amiga, by that time DOS had me..
But I had a C-16, Plus 4, C-64, and 128D, and all kinds of cassette and disk drives etc...
Those we're the days! Idiots didn't buy computers!
Have a Great Thursday!

By the time I upgraded from my Commodore 64 in 1993, it was a DOS/Windows machine for me (a 486 DX2/66). I still briefly considered an Amiga 4000 but the writing was already on the wall for Commodore, the Amiga, and pretty much anything non-"PC" (or Macintosh but those were way overpriced and not much good for games).

The Good Old Days!
After the 128D, I also moved on to PC's -
For a few reasons...
I had the Atari PC 1, where I learned DOS - it had a 5.25" and an external 3.5",
Fun Stuff!
After this I got a 386sx SLOW....
And then just built "whatever"..
Now just laptops - easier!

Apples back in the day were wierd for wierd people and pricy for what you got.
But I would love to play with an old Mac now - for nostalgia... šŸ˜

Have an Amazing Friday!
