I remember the MSX, and had the whole Commodore family,
C16, Plus4, C64, and 128D,

I read something recently that said the C16 and Plus4 were Commodore's attempt to come up with a computer that more closely matched the MSX in terms of features. I guess they were worried about it at the time but it ended up not being much of a threat in most of Commodore's markets.

The Plus4 was pretty cool really, I miss those days - really!
I was actually in Europe at the time, and it was a Commodore & Atari world and suddenly...
PC's were everywhere and these died right out. I think the Amiga was the last gasp...

The Amiga had a pretty good life and was even used for creating special effects in some movies and TV shows (Babylon 5 comes to mind). But while it started ahead of the game on the technology curve, they just couldn't keep up with the pace of PC development.

Very true.. And I had heard about the Amiga being used in TV.
Funny...
If Commodore had survived we might be doing a lot more with a lot less...
