I think the magazine is filled with diferent educative topics with fun. I love the way it being designed. It shows how intelligent and creative the author his.
I used to buy this magazine :)
I never had any issues until long after it was dead. I had a Commodore 64 and wanted an Amiga for a long time. However, by the time I was ready (and able) to upgrade in 1993, Commodore was dying and I went straight to a PC. I remember seeing Amiga Format sitting on the shelves here in the U.S. though.
