A high number of animal studies aren't being published
Only a fraction of the animals used in scientific studies ends up being mentioned in scientific papers. This trend was noted in a university in the Netherlands where 0.25% of the 5500 animals sent to their labs were featured in reports in two years.
This trend is partially due to the fact that scientists are only focusing on publishing results of groundbreaking research, ignoring the fact that even failed research is also equally important.
