Controlling birth rates with underwear: biological facts, ultimate mind control & anti-natalism

Testicles are outside the body because to optimise sperm production they must maintain a cooler temperature. Yet so many men today wear the kind of underwear which hold the testicles tight to the body, pushing the temperature up and ultimately ensuring that sperm production is not as efficient.

Is this by design?

Looking on line I can see NO ONE discussing this issue, which seems strange to me. Surely all men contemplate why their balls hang outside their body in a convenient little temperature-controlled sack? Or is it just me?

I feel like I'm covering the basics here but as not everyone has balls I'm just gonna do it anyway:

Maintaining a constant temperature is so crucial for sperm production that our convenient little sack shrinks in the cold and expands in the heat. When it is pulled tight to our body, the temperature goes up. And when it expands away from the body, the temperature goes down. Clever stuff hey ;)

I bring this up now because I went shopping for pants during the January sales here in France and it turns out it is no longer possible to buy the kind of underwear which permit the testicles to hang away from the body, as they were designed to do.

Two years ago I was able to buy them here, so what's up with that France?

Feels like they have quietly been removed from the shelves. And no one noticed.

Boxer shorts

Despite being forced to wear Y-fronts throughout my childhood I moved to boxer shorts when I could and never looked back.

The testicles will naturally hang to the left or right of the central line, permitting nature to do its thing.

Let's face it, walking around in the nude would probably be the best thing for our balls, but we no longer live in a world where nudity is considered normal. One only has to look at the indigenous folk of any southern hemisphere country to see how things should be.

The bigger picture

Controlling our numbers has been on the agenda for many decades already and yes, I do think men's pants are a part of this. What better way than tackling the problem at it's source? While it clearly doesn't stop us from reproducing it must surely have an effect on our numbers.

Beyond this, the idea that the earth is overpopulated has been intentionally placed in our subconscious and I have noticed how young people growing up in this 'climate change fever' environment can react to it by looking down on those who have children. I felt this very strongly with a young cousin of mine who is getting married this year and has already publicly announced he will not be having children.

Some of you will remember my old friend Danny Shine, known for his megaphone messages on the streets of London. Throughout my youth I watched his YouTube films, making a mockery of the police and educating me about veganism.

It was an absolute pleasure working with him to make this film, which has now been watched by over 61,000 people.

I seriously loved what he stood for, but I'm not so sure any more.

Anti-natalism

Antinatalism, or anti-natalism, is a philosophical position and social movement that assigns a negative value to birth. Antinatalists argue that people should abstain from procreation because it is morally bad. In scholarly and in literary writings, various ethical foundations have been presented for antinatalism. Wikipedia

Danny called me a month ago and told me enthusiastically about his new subject of interest, anti-natalism. He believes now that people should not naturally have the right to reproduce and that getting a vasectomy should be incentivised financially. He believes there should be some kind of application process behind having a child and that only a select lucky few should be chosen. How dark does that sound?

He asked me if I would be interested to make a film with him around this subject and I turned him down.

But what the hell is going on here people? Danny is such a bright shining light, yet somehow he has reached this conclusion. Doesn't feel right. In the end he is just another example of how the mind control is so subtle and thorough. It reaches us even when we believe ourselves to be walking the path of enlightenment. I will never stop loving Danny but I cannot advocate this message.

What are your thoughts on all of this?

Yes, I'm with you on embracing freedom to procreate. As long as it is between too consenting adult wanting to raise a child together, it should be supported.

Personally, I resolved to remain single in my life for now. A family starts with a good relationship pairing. Plud I never felt like I had the financials I wanted to safely raise a child how I believe they deserve. As a man, I have the luxury of changing my mind about this in my later life.

If all the antinationalists are right about the consequences of overpopulation, when large populations begin to die out, it won't be the people incapable, or unwilling to procreate who can rescue humanity from extinction. Philosophers and scientists are always predicting future disasters based on our current trends. Rarely do they also accept the paradoxical problems associated with making the radical global sudden changes they propose.

I can certainly see the attraction of a single life. What I would give to have a few days to myself every now and then! But in a few hours when they wake the fun will begin... and I won't care any more :) One thing I do want to say is that I didn't feel ready when Sabrina told me she was pregnant. Both times! It wasn't planned, so hard to feel ready. The important thing is being prepared to shift with the wind. Interestingly, having kids actually made me way more responsible with money and I started saving for the first time in my life.

Now all I need is the crypto market to boom and I won't have to think about that any more ;)

Thanks for the personal comment. Family is certainly formative to a person's development.

Don't worry too much. There will always be a postman or neighbor with boxers.

I can see how Danny's line of thinking has developed.

BUT freedom to have children is one of the most fundamental human rights.

If you take that away you are on a deep, dark, slippery slope that can only ever head in one direction...

Personally I struggle to see how this line of thinking has developed and can only think it has something to do with the general atmosphere of climate alarm these days. The idea that we are overpopulated doesn't wash with me at all. Though clearly land is disproportionately distributed amongst the people.

Any yes, no one has the right to tell us if we can procreate or not.

Wow, that is an extreme view to take on controlling childbirth! Sounds like something from a book. Those ones you hope won't come true, but seem to be anyway.

Makes 1984 look like a walk in the park. Nuts.

It is indeed dystopian. I think that was the word I was looking for last night, but was to tired to dredge up!

Funny. I looked dystopian up yesterday to check the spelling. This certainly seems like the word to use here.

What you're saying about testicles makes perfect sense. As far as Danny, I love the way he raises shit with the "authorities", no one can cause a disturbance in a non-violent way like Danny. Love him for it, but I never completely agreed with his message and I don't agree with this eugenicist thinking. It is true that some people probably shouldn't reproduce, but who gets to be the arbitrator of that? As mentioned above, this is a slippery slope.

How very right you are! He's the best :)

And I guess I just feel a little bit sad he won't be doing it any more.

As you say, the question of who gets to be the arbitrator always leads to a dead end. So, there is no way this aspect of anti-natalism could work.
