I'm excited for my new camera

I mentioned over on LeoFinance that I'm selling off my bitcoin and buying a camera. You know what, I'm really excited about it. I haven't bought a new camera in almost 13 years, my first DSLR a Canon 450D. I loved that camera.

Then about 4 years ago I picked up a Canon 60D at a pawn shop. I needed a decent video camera for some volunteer work I was doing and thought it was a good time to upgrade my camera. This is still a great camera and I use it almost everyday, but it is starting to show its age and limits. I plan to keep it around as a backup camera for now, but I have decided on the camera that I am going to get NEXT.

Canon EOS R6

I love this camera, and there is no way that I can justify a R5. The majority of the shooting that I do is moving kids, animals and in poor lighting. The lower pixel count R6 should actually perform as well or better in those use cases.

I'm also picking up a EF-RF mount adapter so I can re-use some of my existing glass.

If BTC keeps mooning I may even have enough to get the new 800mm F11 too. Fingers crossed.
