COPPER, silvers little cousin

Copper is another interesting one. As you may have guessed it has allot in common with it's big cousin Silver. It's almost as good at conducting heat and electricity as silver. It has a place in the world of investment portfolio's. It seems to have some of the same reflective properties as silver. It doesn't seem to have the same spot price or amount of attention given to it in terms of lore.

As of Feb-4,2013 Canada halted their outgoing pennies. I felt as though they took away an old familiar friend. I kept as many as I could. For the longest time you'd see pennies all over the place. Sidewalk gutters, parking lots, in those little trays they used to have at stores. I held on too as many as I could because the face value of a Copper penny was exceeded by it's intrinsic value and the appearance of Copper fascinates me. The cheery orange glow it has, makes it loveable.

In the body, not allot of Copper is needed but it does have some vital rolls it carries out. And it shares an inverse relationship with zinc. So a person takes zinc, they should now and then take some Copper as zinc will deplete Copper in the body. As is covered in this short video from You Tube Channel (Dr. Eric Berg DC)

Signs you are Copper deficient, You Tube Channel (Dr.Eric Berg) -->

Note: He mentions in the above video it's important to take Copper in a non-elemental form provided you are actually Copper deficient. So I'm guessing elemental Copper wouldn't be very bio available. So taking Copper colloid would likely not prove effective at upping your Copper levels .

This video really expands and compliments the previous video, he talks about how Copper is actually needed in order for cells to absorb iron. I actually just did a post on iron not too long ago, so this video compliments that quite well too. Video brought to you by You Tube Channel (Thomas DeLauer) -->

If you'd like to zoom in on my previous iron post I'll drop the link here --> https://peakd.com/proofofbrain/@photonium/iron-r2rr03

And at the same time I guess too much Copper can be toxic, hence why they refer to it as a trace mineral, not allot is needed. If your gallbladder or liver is compromised you are prone to too much Copper and thus not enough zinc. Same You Tube channel again, one of my favorites ( Dr.Eric Berg DC) -->

periodic table1.jpg

Once again referring to the trustee periodic table above, we can see Copper and zinc live right next door to each other. Copper is 29 and zinc is 30. I think this might help to explain why they are so competitive in the body.

Making colloidal Copper is pretty much an identical process to making colloidal silver. Except a person would use pure Copper robs instead of pure silver rods.

<-- How to make Copper Colloid (Rain Country)

Why would a person want to make colloidal Copper? I'm not sure if it's as effective against pathogens as silver is. A person could say it is cheaper to make. And the lady in the video says it's good for skin spots. And that overlaps a bit with what one of the other videos mentioned about Copper being a base ingredient in many skin products. Colloidal Copper could also make a good cheaper alternative for things like disinfecting counter tops, maybe as a hand sanitizer that a bit less expensive compared to silver colloid. Could be used to keep the air pathogen free, might help make the air smell nicer at the same time.

When I covered Iodine, I mentioned I like using potassium-iodide as a hand sanitizer, which is just another option. Silver colloid vs Copper colloid vs potassium-iodide, would be interesting to see which one is most effective against any given pathogen.

This is the post I did regarding iodine if you care to zoom into that --> https://peakd.com/homesteading/@photonium/iodine

One of my favorite guys Tony and his camera man Dave demonstrate how to make Copper chloride. Which he says is a good effective cleaning and disinfecting agent in and on the body. He also mentioned this stuff is quite anti-cancer and that this homemade method is likely much more potent than anything a person would find on a store shelf. I think they filmed this one pretty early in the morning, looks like he was still half asleep, being delightfully informal and speaking liberally, quite fun to watch. Couple mad scientists doing some crazy shit in the basement. Brought to you by You Tube Channel (HerbsPlusBeadWorks) -->

End product looks really cool too by the way. Guess it ends up a nice cool blue liquid. We don't actually get to see the end product because it takes 24 plus hours to finish. But the median product looks cool too, nice green color.

When it comes to Copper investing, there is allot of talk about demand going up and supply going down. And there are people out there that like to stack Copper rounds/bullion. Some have told me that the premiums of Copper bullion are really high and therefore ever turning a profit via buying Copper bullion wouldn't ever happen. But they do make allot of really cool looking coins out there. If you happen to love Copper and you enjoy the bullion, I'd say enjoy it. It is a really attractive kind of loveable metal. There are also people that avoid Copper bullion but collect Copper-rich pennies, salvaged wiring and electrons, and Copper pipe.

The guy in this video shows us some really sharp looking coins. From You Tube Channel (Patriot Stacker) -->

This video goes over all the in's and out's of Copper stacking, and shows us a collection. Provided by You Tube Channel (Backyard Bullion) -->

When it comes to Copper investing, it's just like any other commodity, fiat currency, or digital faith. The game would always seem to be predicting the future supply and demand situation of any given one of those. And Copper may very well be going toward short supply and high demand. For people that like to cover allot of bases and have variety to their portfolio, Copper may not be a bad thing to include.

This video sides with the idea that Copper will indeed experience high demand and short supply. As China becomes more modernized and carbon fraud agendas take course. Provided by You Tube Channel (Inside News) -->

Not to mention, if and when people found themselves needing a form of low tech trade for more petty transactions Copper would flip that bill rather nicely, provided it was universally accepted. Copper has served in this capacity before, and still does in places that still have pennies to some extent, though modern pennies operate in accordance to their assigned face value and not so much in terms of their intrinsic value. Also should mention, many modern pennies don't have allot of Copper built into them anymore. To quote off of my google search regarding the US penny,

"In 1864, after the Civil War, the design changed again with a 95% copper 5% zinc make-up. Finally, in 1982, the coin would evolve into its modern form of only 5% copper and 95% zinc. The modern penny has the least amount of copper with a small 2.5% copper plating and a 97.5% zinc base."

Most likely some would accept Copper, and others wouldn't, depending where they are at in terms of their own personal resources. More likely if the situation got that grim things like seeds, food, clean water, tools, would take precedence. People would be taken back to the most low tech and original forms of trading. But in an imaginary situation like this, we would be asked to believe that all our technology would suddenly be made to disappear for whatever reason, possibly if utility companies stopped providing people energy. We are quite reliant on our current supply chains as per how the world has come together and as it is now.

The following website provides a graph showing how the price of Copper has behaved over the course of the last few decades. It also provided graphs showing the same thing regarding other commodities if you care to take a glance at any of those --> https://www.macrotrends.net/1476/copper-prices-historical-chart-data

After trying to find something interesting and unique about Copper I found this next video. I'm surprised to find out that Copper does exhibit some magnetic properties regardless of being classified as non-ferrous. Something to do with it's great conductivity and the flow of electrons. Makes me curious if silver would act in the same way, in terms of the periodic table silver does live in Coppers basement. Really interesting to watch, provided by You Tube Channel (NightHawkInLight) -->

The guy in the video attributes what we just seen by Faraday's law of induction and Lenz's law.

I put a link to each of those if you're into checking those out.

Faraday's law of induction --> (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday%27s_law_of_induction)

Lenz's law --> (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenz%27s_law)

Turns out silver and Copper are both what they call para-magnetic. Like paralegal, or paramilitary, or parody. So like a parody of being a ferrous metal or ferromagnetic. And it turns out some places use this to test silver. Video provided by You Tube Channel (Cascade Refining, Inc.) -->

I can not reproduce what the guy in the video did, with both Copper and silver, but I tried it using ceramic magnets so ceramic magnets probably are not powerful enough, to make paramagnetic metals move.

And google explains this all perfectly: "The strength of the magnetic field produced by a magnet is quantified with BHmax, or maximum energy product, which is measured in MegaGauss Oersted (MGOe). ... Ceramic magnets have a BHmax of 3.5, SmCo have a BHmax of 26 and NdFeB are the most powerful of the rare-earth magnets with a BHmax of 40"

There is talk about increasing use of Copper inside public spaces due to it's anti pathogenic properties, this would increase it's demand even more. Video provided by You Tube Channel (BrainVerse) -->

The video mentions that it takes "the virus" referring to "Sars-Cov-2, up to 4 hours to die on a Copper surface. I suspect if a mild electrical current harmless to humans was running though it that the kill rate would be much faster.

There are some people out there that enjoy converting raw scrap Copper into attractive works of art or custom coinage. Looks like it takes allot of energy, and you'd need a fair bit of start up equipment, but molten Copper does look really cool, or rather really hot. This guy demonstrates, video provided by You Tube Channel (bigstackD Casting) -->

I searched far and wide for any explosive reactions involving Copper but there doesn't seem to be any. Sorry to all you explosion fanatics, I know the general purpose of chemistry is to blow shit up, but not everything goes boom :)

Here is what some people have done with their penny collections. Provided by You Tube Channel (Matt Giles) -->(

Interesting way to up the value of your house intrinsically and cosmetically. And there are many more videos like this one, turns out this is and or was a trend.

No tour would be complete without including the (Periodic Table of Videos) You Tube Channel contribution -->

He mentions Copper based hemocyanin found in crustaceans blood which is blue. I touched on this in my previous iron post. He also mentions the iron based hemoglobin in red human blood carries oxygen much better which is why were capable of moving for longer stretches compared to crabs.

This blue blood is actually very valuable. It goes for around $16,000.00/Litre! This video covers why that is. Provided by You Tube Channel (Real Science) -->

Turns out the immune system of crabs, or more specifically horseshoe crabs,is different than ours. Infections for them get isolated. Their immune system is described as being more general and not adaptive like ours. Turns out blue blood has some vaccine vital applications for LDL that is refined from blue blood. So Big Pharma has a real thing for this stuff.

I hope you have found this interesting and useful. Thank you for reading and touring.

I forgot to include an important Copper related video. I'll call this the bonus video.

Looks like I missed allot of very key info by overlooking this video. Sorry for that. He shows us how to make all kinds of really helpful things using Copper.
