Linking chains for greater interoperability is one of the developments in blockchain technology that could really push mass adoption. By allowing traditional business processes to take advantage of smart contracts and other blockchain applications, information gathering/storage systems can and will evolve to be more efficient.

It is amazing to think that these solutions are bridging the gap between old systems and new, allowing for web 2.0 applications to take advantage of the benefits of immutable transactions.

The applications are endless - from using blockchain to ensure voting systems that can't be rigged, to allowing vast data sets to be recorded without the multi-level processes of creating server backup contingencies.

Truly the future of business is bright for web 3.0.

But it will take a shift in thinking, and a leap from old school businesses to get past the perceptions touted by mainstream financial institutions to embrace this technology. The volatility of the crypto market shifts focus away from the many other applications of blockchain technology other than that of token economics.

Do you think that blockchain tech will gain mainstream adoption sooner rather than later?

Let me know in the comments 🙂

I love this Blockchain Senryu. Pitifully I'm rather ignorant about blockchain tech and I have no good idea how it will change the world. But I know that the smart contract based on blockchain tech is immutable. I once watched a video in which the professor introduced how wonderful smart contracts could be in the future applications. As far as I am concerned, maybe the biggest benefit from the blockchain tech is to have the chance of enjoying your beautiful Haiku/Senryu/ poems by your genius and talking with you about them personally.

Besides your excellent poems, you yourself are really a brilliant and friendly/passionate Hive poet--a superstar. I still remember your words to me: Hive has always thrived on sharing. With your encouragement and kindness, I become so bold and enthusiastic to share my feeling with you. I really can't imagine how boring and drab the Hive platform will be without you!

I am very happy to see you come back! God bless! Stay safe, stay healthy!

Hi @kaixin

Thank you for your kind words. It's really nice to know someone is reading and enjoying my poems and mini blogs 🙂👍

But I know that the smart contract based on blockchain tech is immutable.

I think you've learned the central unique selling proposition of blockchain technology well 👍
It's this immutable property of blockchains that give the technology such scope, but it's also that property that makes larger organisations wary of the tech I think. Because they don't like the idea of losing complete control, or being held accountable by immutable records 😂

P.s. thanks for the well wishes, I am now testing negative for covid but it has left me feeling tired all the time for a while after.
