I appreciate the disruption of the advertising industry. Personally, my appetite for ads sated some time ago. With anime websites constantly marketing singles in my area and Youtube showing one at every beginning, end and even middle of countless videos, I sought change. I feel the driving force behind my entire journey centers on it. I loathed when folks wanted photo work for free or models wanted to charge. I needed a better lens and camera body, so I worked. Yet my first job’s only involved the free access to cheeseburgers. I hated competition with algorithms and paid promotion. I yearned for change.

Four years ago, I speculated on many assets. I invested in Brave once I transferred all my bookmarks and left Chrome behind. Their model filled me with hope then, and continues to now. To split the revenues paid to Brave by advertisers into tokens by which users earn from voluntarily perusing the ads not only changes the game, it inspires it. That incentive is only the tip of the iceberg. Today, Brave shared an ad from this very platform, HIVE. In it, I smiled and shared with my sister @mchauvet22 the idea written: “community tokenization”. I stand by the community and its generation of value through their share of social interaction. That’s why you read my puerile thoughts of love and art, view my photos. That’s why I read from @tarazkp’s musings and drool at @felixxx’s outdoor cooking. I even take pointers from @eveuncovered and her self-portraiture. What else can community create? I am Brave enough to find out.
