Some art near the World Trade Center

Good morning everyone as I mentioned last night I am back to reality and trying to catch up on here but still way behind but after sharing this I will be trying to catch up and do my normal visiting and replying to comment, so apologize to those who I haven't visited for a day or two.

On one of my walks around the city I was by the World Trade Centre and came across this pieces, I see many of these around the city, generally plain white of concrete colors, they are to protect areas from cars driving off the road into buildings or built-up areas, but these were different with the colorful messages painted on them and I thought worth getting some shots and sharing

NYC is so full of road art, it truly is so beautiful and appreciate you for sharing with us!

Those are really cool. They look almost out of place on that sidewalk but I bet it makes it a nicer area to be.

Ya if you have 10 shop tokens you can called for 1 post. 20 you can do it twice gives the person a small vote also first one to play Rock Paper Scissors can win a token. But you have to answer in their Language. But easy to copy and paste it

These flowerpots are beautiful. My company wants to place some flowerpots at the entrance of the main building - I have already seen the design plans. Maybe I should show them these painted pots, but I think they would call me !DERANGED 😉

Well if you need a security barrier it may be a good idea if its just for flowers Athena they may thnk it’s a !DERANGED idea and worry you are having too much !BEER

That's exactly, what they would think, but I think, it would be a not so !DERANGED idea to put flowerpots as security barrier in front of the entrance and paint "love and peace" and some flowers and fishes on them :)

You may be sure, that I will show them the photos, if you don't mind, and the !BEER would be a nice thing :)
I know, they will like it, but I am sure, the pots will be gray, because it matches the building and our !DERANGED company.

What do you think, why they are all !DERANGED ? One reason is all the real !BEER they drink, and the other reason is the color gray. I am glad that I don't work in that building and I go there only if I need to.

To avoid getting further !DERANGED today I order the 17-28 2.8 Tamron Lens and also the 28-75 2.8 lens, could well be the last lenses I buy, well maybe one more before I retire LOL

It took you a long time after that exhibition, where you tested the Tamron lenses, to make this decision, but then you order 2 at once 🙂
So, thinking over weeks whether you should buy or not has made you almost !DERANGED ? Now, waiting for the delivery might make you deranged, and I hope you won't need !BEER to calm down 😉

Well yes it did take a while, I was waiting till I had enough and still debating with myself, LOL I am !DERANGED and do that, both lens have great reviews, are quite light and cheaper than the alternatives, and I think will be a good combination for most of the shooting I do, and I should have them in my hand tomorrow

They deliver on Sundays? How !DERANGED is that? I am glad, if our delivery services deliver on Saturdays sometimes 😢

Right, with these two lenses you will have a wide range from 17 to 75, plus you also have your longer 70-200mm lens, if I remember right. And with f/2.8 you have very fast lenses too.

Ohh yes I do love Amazon, I have prime so free delivery and they deliver on Sundays :) I have three things or maybe four coming tomorrow, well a couple of things for my wife as well

so for me its worthy of a !BEER and not !DERANGED

for the lenses yes having from 17-75 at 2.8 is great especially as its getting more grey at the moment, will be good to walk around with in the city, on days where its not to cold, and yes I also have the 24-240 plus a macro 90MM, plus a couple of other fun lens, if I get one more before I retire it will ne a nifty 50 :)

Ah, right you have the 24-240 and not the 70-200. I forget many things since I don't drink !BEER anymore and somehow I have become more and more !DERANGED :)
Yes, the 2.8 are much better in these more dark and grey days. Hopefully next year I will exchange one of my lenses for one of the new RF lenses which are f2.8 too.

I have got a nifty fifty with my EOS M50, but I must admit, that I haven't used it yet.

I had a nifty 50 with my Pentax and used it quite a bit, but have always put off getting one for my Sony, maybe because its a cheaper lens and I in a !DERANGED way think I can leave that for later

I somehow prefer zoom lenses, although primes should be better for practicing, but I'm too !DERANGED lazy and like to zoom instead of step forwards or backwards ;) lol

I am the same I like zoom lens to have some options, I know many prefer prime, but for me not so much so, but the Macro of course, is a fixed focal length and the vintage Helios lens is fun to play with :)

Yes, my macro lens is also a prime with 105mm fixed, but apart from the nifty 50 I have no other prime lenses.

Maybe I should take only the nifty 50 with me one day. It would certainly be a new experience and I might learn a lot. I wanted to do so quite some times, but then I always thought "what if I see something nice and have no chance to photograph it with 50mm?".

I think maybe its where one shoots as well, a 50MM out in the countryside or up on Mountains isnt that handy a lens to have, but around the city it is a good focal length

taking the nifty 50 alone to the top of a mountain may be a little !DERANGED and drive one to !BEER

You are right - tomorrow I am going to hike up a mountain, where I haven't been since Spring.
The Dobratsch is my favorite mountain in Winter, because you can drive very far up to a parking lot and then hike for about 1.5 - 2 hours to the summit.
Anyway, I would be very !DERANGED if I would take only my nifty 50 up there to take sunset photos. This lens will stay at home and I will carry the 16-35mm and the 70-200mm with me. These lenses are certainly 10 times heavier than the nifty 50, but I thing the weight is worth carrying it 🙂

If you like iPhones it's a good day for you - it wouldn't be good for me. My company uses also iPhones, but I was glad that I didn't have to take one and was allowed to use my own Android phone. I have tried an iPhone once and I didn't like it - everybody loves it and wants one, but I don't - that's !DERANGED but the truth 😉

LOL yeah but i did slope off and visit a museum, the two people i rarely needed to follow up things with today were not in so I decided ina !DERANGED sort of way I cant have a !BEER so lets visit a Museum

I was a big android guy for years but when I tried the Apple Watch I loved it over the android options and that keeps me with apple

I loved the Windows Phone, but they didn't support it any longer, so I had to switch back to Android last year. I don't know, why I don't like the iPhone or iOS - maybe I'm just !DERANGED 🙂

I do love me some street art. When I visit NYC I never have to go very far to find some extremely talented artists who were likely commissioned to do their trade (I'm sure these are some of those people). Did you get to see 5 pointz in Queens before they painted over all of it?

Yes that is one of my favorite things about the city and yes I visited five points a few times such a shame when they painted over it
