The Evolution of Consciousness

I read this book many years ago on a weighted recommendation from a co-worker. It really changed the way I think about how I think. I don't agree with everything in The Evolution of Consciousness by Robert Ornstein but it was a unique perspective on how our minds work. Here are a few excerpts:
