MY 3D PRINTING NEWS: NEW MODELS AND NEW FAILS;)
Posts about my new 3D-printing models have already become a tradition, and I hope you aren't tired of them because I like to share with you my success and fails;)
So Hi to my HiveFam and all 3Diy-fans;)
It's the biggest masterpiece of the last days;) It was being printed for 13 hours!!
But it looks cute and nice as for me;) It was a gift for my dentist who removed my painful tooth of wisdom (I hope it's called so not only in Russia, and you get what I mean;)
The dentist was happy and surprised to get such a DIY tooth;)
It's the 2nd place of my hit-parade - a case for my phone;)
It was an experimental model, just the 1st try so maybe it's not ideal still but at least we've succed! so now we think of making them for sale.
Snakes are my passion, yes, so the choice of design is clear;)
And that is how printing fails look like:))
we started a new printing process and went out to the market, and when we came back we planned to see the ready detail, but....
sh"t happens;) something went wrong, the detail somehow was pulled to another place of the working table, and we get what we get;)
Thanks God it wasn't a detail that had to be printed for 12 hours;)
These are some tools for my handmade hooby.
They are cheap and can be bought anywhere, but the thins is I needed them at night when I was making my mandala, and I didn't have them, but...in 30 min they were already made by my 3D friend;)
and one more masterpiece!
a detail from my parents' vacuum cleaner was broken. And for a long time it was repaired by a scotch tape;) Traditional repair of many things in Russia;))
I amn't joking;)
But 3D printing decided this problem fast! Modelling of this item wasn't easy, I must say... but the result was fine! My parents at last understood the power of 3D printing after it;)
A very iseful thing for coffee machines owners and coffee fans - a coffee tamper.
My husband is a passionate coffee drinker, so he was happy to print this thing;)
Nice work. They sure are handy to print broken things around the house. I just finished a base to a sink faucet for the boat today. Printed with marble PLA.
I find prints usually fail because a corner of the model lifts off the print table because it's cooling faster than the rest. It either gets hit by the nozzle and the whole thing moves, or it gets warped. I find spraying really strong hairspray on the print area right before it starts is the best solution for getting that bottom layer to stay attached to the print table.
oh, thank you for your advice and attention! yes, I've heard about it, try to use;)
I like your base! looks great! how long do you use 3d printing?
I love these posts, you are creating some very useful items, I bet your parents finally 'got it' after you gave them a new vacuum handle!
The fail was CRAZY!! I bet you were stunned to see that mess. I'm glad it didn't damage anything. Good luck with your sales, I hope you prosper!!
my dear Lynds, I missed you!;)
how are you? no gardening now? what are you doing? homeschooling boys?
Hiiii missed a few of your posts but am here a lot just reading :) Been kind of a hermit for personal posts on Hive lately! Still homeschooling of course, gardening is on hold until March/April haha, we have lovely winters here like you! I won't be attending hivefest, no.
why no hivefest? no sense, no interest? I've registered but amn't sure it's for me.
