Floating mill generates twice as much electricity as a land wind turbine

Finally the future will be of renewable technologies yes or yes, we do not stop inventing better and more effective gadgets.

Today we bring a floating mill that is basically a helium balloon that rises up to 300 meters high and which contains a large turbine.

Being so high ensures that the wind up there is stronger and more constant which makes it much more efficient than the equivalent on land.

The turbine will be built by the Altaeros company, formed members of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and thereby contribute to minimizing the technological gap between cities and rural areas.

Undoubtably, good winds blow for renewable energy.
