Russia wants to retreat from the partnership with the International Space Agency, considering that the ISS is no longer safe, and the astronauts' life is in danger.

Roscosmos, the Russian Space Agency, is working on a new space station, which will be launched in 2025. The announcement has been said by Dmitri Rogozin, the head of the Russian Space Agency.

In 2027, when all of the new Space Station will be launched, the ISS will be 27 years old.

The Russian Space Station will have a hotel module for tourists. Now, the ISS has 16 modules, 4 financed and built by Russia, 9 by the US, one by ESA, the European Space Agency, and two by Japan.

The Russian Space Station will have five modules. The configuration will have the project MIR at base, the first space station, which functioned from 1986 to 2001.

Last year, Russia has lost it's monopoly on human space travel to the ISS, because SpaceX, the American company led by Elon Musk, can now offer this service.
