What Ever Happened To Impeachment?

If you have been wondering why there has as of yet not been an impeachment trial in the senate, welcome to the club. As it turns out, and correct me if I'm wrong but impeachment is actually a process, the house of representatives brings reason to the floor as for why a president should be impeached and the the house votes on it. If the votes passes then articles of impeachment must then be sent to the senate where the allegations are reviewed and a trail follows. The thing is after the vote that happened in the house, the democrats has as of yet not sent the articles to the senate, so therefore by logical conclusion the process has not been completed. It also turns out that the democrats don't seem to actually want to impeach the president, other than just having this impeachment hanging over his head, which is an idea they got from CNN, go figure. Trump’s Handling Of Iran

The new year has started with quite a bang, and please excuse the pun, but I'm sure you all know by now what has transpired in Iran. The Trump administration took out an high ranking Iranian general, Qasem Soleimani, in a drone strike a few days ago, and there was mass outrage from all sides. Many folks critical of the president has called the action uncalled for and accused him of war crimes, the democrats has even went as far as to voted to pass a war powers resolution Thursday that would limit how much military action Trump can take against Iran. Truth is these actions did not come out of nowhere and there are actually a series of events that led up to all that has taken place. Last September, Yemeni rebels attacked a Saudi oil processing facility, the U.S., U.K., Germany and France all concluded that Iran was behind the attacks. November, Iran announced that it had resumed uranium enrichment. December, Iran attacked U.S. interests in Iraq, killing an American contractor, and then used proxies to directly attack the U.S. embassy in Iraq. Last May, Trump sent Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to deliver a message to Iran that if even one American was killed by the regime or its proxies, a U.S. military counterattack would result. Gold Surges Then Declines

The precious metal price spiked after the news came out that Trump has ordered a drone strike on an Iranian general. It then continued to rise to above $1,600 an ounce, extending its rally to a six-year high, after Iran launched more than a dozen missiles at U.S.-Iraqi airbases. But everything turned around as soon as Trump announced that Iran “seems to be standing down,” easing fears of further hostilities that spurred the metal’s earlier rally. No telling when the precious metals will stopped being suppressed by the big banks. (Click the image below to read more...)

Prince Harry and Meghan Take A Step Back

In an official announcement from Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they would “step back” from the royal family and their official duties. They also said they planned to divide their time between Britain and North America and would “work to become financially independent.” I for one am not exactly sure how they will be able to do so, just the private security is going to cost them a small fortune in upkeep. There is also no way in my opinion that the royal family or the Queen would allow them to go unprotected. Another part of the statement reads "we have chosen to make a transition this year to carve out a progressive new role within this institution" which makes me think they could be trying to cash virtue point, as they are the most liked of the royal family after the Queen. Mercedes-Benz Avatar Car

The Mercedes-Benz company has recently unveiled their new concept car, the Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR at the Consumer Electronics Show. Designed with help from Avatar director James Cameron, and the entire rear end of the AVTR is covered in 33 discrete scales, or as Mercedes-Benz calls them, “bionic flaps”. It also has special spherical wheels that Mercedes-Benz says were inspired by the “seeds of the Tree of Souls” from 2009’s Avatar. These wheels can rotate so that the AVTR can move sideways, or even diagonally, great for parking. The concept car is “powered” by graphene-based organic battery cells that don’t require rare earth minerals, which the company says may one day be compostable, and the interior is made from recycled plastics and vegan leather. Samsung Blockchain Phones and Gaming

Wait what?? Since when did Samsung have blockchain phones, well apparently since early last year they have taken the lead in ensuring that users can access blockchain related services. Samsung Electronics' blockchain smartphones, such as Galaxy S10, are set to feature Elrond project’s gaming app “Battle of Elrond.” Which is a mobile multiplayer game where players can earn ERD [Elrond’s native token] for defeating their enemies. One ERD token is currently worth $0.0016. Elrond has been claiming to focus on performance and usability for its blockchain network. The firm said its blockchain “brings 1,000x improvements over existing blockchains” with “adaptive state” sharding architecture and “secure” proof-of-stake mechanism. It's been a busy time at the beginning of the year! The confrontation between the US and Iran has everyone on edge. In the last minutes it has been reported that the US has declared that the Ukrainian plane was shot down by Iran, accidentally. However, Iran has denied this accusation. The government of Venezuela is very much aware of this confrontation, not only because of the oil, but because it supposedly has big business with the government of Iran. As for Meghan and Harry, I think they have made a good decision, although I don't know how they will carry it out and I doubt they will be able to do so. Or will Meghan go back to the movies and collect large sums of money? It'll be dawn and we'll see.

I'm glad to see that the weekly news section of this blog is back. Of course, not all of them catch my attention.
What has concerned me most of all is the US wartime relationship with Iran; from my limited and modest viewpoint, I think this has not been well handled, like many other responses to conflicts by the Trump administration; in a way, I vindicate Obama's performance.
Among my concerns, a general one, the disastrous fire in Australia, with its invaluable ecological consequences.
In my country (Venezuela), the blatant disregard for the National Constitution, the disrespect for the will of citizens by ignoring and attempting to impose a directive from Parliament, and ... (there is enough digital material on this).
Greetings.
